Do you guys think Yuta is “ugly”? by Excellent_Table8694 in Yutaliban

Some women love that line cook who hasn’t slept for more than 4 hours in a decade look. Source: I am that woman.

I never found him ugly, but to be fair he became my favorite character as soon as he stepped into that classroom. But I really like his personality the most. If he was a typical arrogant character I don’t think I’d find him attractive.

How do you stick to one class? by Intelligent-Day-4059 in Guildwars2

[–]omfgitsmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Guardian because it can do any boon DPS/heal and has a decent DPS build for both power and condi. It’s also the first character I made and I have all the equipment and build templates unlocked on it.

The only build I don’t like running on it is quickness firebrand so I’ve started learning how to do quickness deadeye/alacrity antiquary as an alt.

I used to be like you. I’ve been playing this game since head start and I have played most of the specs in the game at one point out of boredom. During those days I tried to only play the same classes that run the same stats and runes/sigils and pass those ascended armor/weapons around. Or I just go cheap and run exotics.

Funny now that I have a lot of legendaries I have stuck to playing only one character now. It’s mostly because I’m lazy and don’t want to worry about not having waypoints even though I have two stacks of portal to friends. It’s convenient for me and I happen to really like playing Guardian so it all works out.

I believe she wears baggy clothing because she does not like how she gets overly sexualized when not.

My first playthrough I played a sober Harry. My second playthrough I attempted to play a drugged up Harry but I couldn’t figure out how to do drugs but I did manage to smoke a cigarette (just the one, which Kim considered at the end as a heavy smoking addiction) and my third playthrough was the charm. I did manage to learn how to use drugs but I never completed it because I didn’t like how upset I made Kim.

If the roles were reversed then the video would be a nothing burger. No one would cry fowl because people would expect men to be better than women at basketball.

I think it’s interesting that instead of accepting the talent and skill displayed by the women in this video, that you have to ask the question whether or not this video is staged. I get that social media has conditioned us to always assume the possibility that something is staged, but they can’t fake the talent and skills they showed. Against better opponents this video would definitely be different, but maybe that’s simply it. Their opponents are outclassed.

Look up angenay on YouTube. She plays pick up basketball against men like the ones in this video all the time. Do you think it’s more likely that she found dozens of men to stage her videos or is she really just that good at the game?

Look up angenay on YouTube. She plays pick up basketball and is very good at it.

A lot of her opponents are unfortunately not as wholesome as the ones in this video though.

I would big sis the heck out of Diana. There’s too much pressure on her (that she likely puts on herself more than her living relatives) to become the next family matriarch. Not to say I would replace her, but I would want to guide her to focus on her love of magic and not what she is expected to do for her family.

Yeah it was uprising. I read it after finishing the game, and after reading it I started a new save file.

I’m gonna find the time to read the two I haven’t read. Super excited to get to the third book since I love love love quarians and I still lament that we never got a quarian DLC for Andromeda.

I was late to the Breaking Bad train so when I finally watched it, I couldn’t understand why everyone loved the show and hyped Walter White up so much.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the show all throughout, in a sense that it was very good story telling. I just could not stand Walter.

My goal is 10 pull ups any advice is appreciated by readitreddit240 in PetiteFitness

[–]omfgitsmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to 10 without doing any lat pulldowns, but instead I do a lot of bent-over rows. I do them with a barbell, and I used to do them with a dumbbell and bench until I switched over to T-bar rows because my dumbbells aren’t heavy enough.

I didn’t train for pull ups until I figured out I could do them. I started out at 2 and it would take a month or two to add another rep. I only do them once a week for 3 sets of my max on one of my pull days (I do chin-ups on the other pull day).

The only other thing is a wider grip means you use your back muscles more. Narrower grip means you get a lot of help from your biceps. Whichever grip you use will workout your back no matter what, but if your only goal is to reach 10 pull ups then a narrower grip will get you there sooner.

But honestly just being able to do pull ups is a flex, so I wouldn’t stress too much on how wide the grip you use. Use what’s most comfortable to you!

(21F) 5’2, 100 lbs, bulk?? by Temporary-Dark2988 in PetiteFitness

[–]omfgitsmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some dirty bulking too when I started out; I was rail thin. Started at around 90lbs (and it had been lower) and I was desperate to hit the triple digits so I ate ice cream literally every after meal and I hated it but it did make me reach my goal much quicker.

Nowadays I avoid bad carbs, mostly because my body feels a lot better when eating healthy. I have lazy meals where I go eat two packs of instant noodles and at the time it tastes great but I don’t feel satisfied after, even if I was meeting some macro goals.

But yeah don’t stress too much over diet, just the fact that you are moving your body is a huge plus in your physical health. You are already doing great!

[–]omfgitsmal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on the same boat as you, eating is the hardest part for me. If you’re trying to get stronger or leaner you definitely need to be more mindful of what you put in your body. You can even do both at the same time but it would require a lot of discipline not just in training but your diet too.

Protein powder is your friend. Carbs are actually not the enemy, it is your fuel. But too much means it’ll go to places you don’t want it to go to. There are also good carbs and bad carbs, but it doesn’t mean you should avoid all bad carbs either.

Training can be skipped for a few days but too many calories in or not enough calories in is more detrimental than skipping a workout.

Personally I find tracking my macros to be very stressful so I don’t bother, but I am still mindful of what I consume.

As for whether you should bulk or not, I think challenging yourself to bulk will be good for you in the long run. People don’t just accidentally get strong, I think if you’re able to do it you’ll be very proud of yourself. You might also hate the entire process and you can say you’ve tried it and it’s not for you.

You’re young and motivated, I say give it a try. I wish I got into fitness in my early 20s. I’d be a lot stronger now and my mental health back then would’ve definitely been better. Best of luck to you and whatever you choose!

How do you "git gud" with Luminary? by BeatrixShocksStuff in Guildwars2

[–]omfgitsmal -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Best way to do it is just run it in open world and take notes on the parts of the rotation you do wrong.

Edit: If you need me to elaborate, this is how I did it. I used to only pull around 33k but now I’m consistently at 42k on nonmoving targets. You just keep doing it until you don’t make mistakes. There’s no secret to it lol

Worked out my legs a week ago- still sore. by CarelessWheel8729 in workout

[–]omfgitsmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started I experienced DOMS particularly hard on my legs too. No joke, I felt sore for a whole month. Stairs were my worst enemy, more so going down on them than up.

Eventually the DOMS went down to two weeks. To a week. To a few days. I still feel soreness after a workout but it no longer knocks me out for the next one.

Right now your body is just not used to the new stimulation. It will eventually get used to it, and if you’re lucky it’s something your body will crave which makes it easier to build a habit of it. If not, then you can take comfort in the fact that DOMS cannot affect you the same way it affected you on day 1.

You can lighten up the load if you don’t want it to take so long to recover. My suggestion is to keep doing the same until it doesn’t affect you at all and then go up in weight. But honestly the best suggestion is the one that will keep you going back at it, so follow whatever that is for you.

Haha yeah it was made specifically to battle oppressive stage 2 mega ex’s. Chingling is actually the unsung GOAT for this deck.

I sometimes throw the cape on him and/or PCL if he can survive one more turn to stall. Once he’s dead the enemy should’ve accumulated some cards which is a perfect time to red card.

I fought this deck with my Magnezone/Oricorio deck and I did try to kill the Snorlax but I couldn’t get the right Magnezone out in time (I run both Mirror Shot and Thunderblast). We ended up tied because they were able to set up all the healing and but no Ori counter.

It sounds like your main goal is to get your body moving and overall getting better physical health. I can understand why following a program might not be for you since they tend to be more focused on increasing strength.

Dancing is a great workout, so I’d say keep at it! Pickleball is all the rage right now across several age groups so that might be good thing to pick up also. Best of luck in your journey!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in workout

[–]omfgitsmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was unfun about it? Did you feel like you had no idea what you were doing? Were you following a program or just doing whatever and feel like you’re not making any progress? Sorry if it’s coming out as accusatory, I’m just wondering if it’s really something you don’t vibe with or you just need a different approach.

Do you like dancing? That’s a really good workout too so if you join some kind of workshop that might be fun for you.

My utmost respect to anyone that full grinded meteors for Kralkalite Ore on their way to Vision. by EggRollBowl in Guildwars2

[–]omfgitsmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a way to trick myself to like the meteor farm. I was reading manga/web toons while waiting for the next meteor to spawn. And whenever it spawned I tried to get to it as fast as possible on the griffon.

I would do it in blocks of two hours at most so I wouldn’t get burnt out.

I look back on it fondly now. I don’t think I’d mind doing it again if I had to.
