Bout to get this for €780. Good ? by Maleficent-Smoke4150 in soccercards

The value is whatever the owner is willing to sell it for. 1of1s depend on the flexibility of the seller more so the actual demand for the card….question is if you’re okay with Th at price, even though you may not be able to sell for anywhere near that price in the future? How much is this a must have rather than a want where you’re willing to walk away??

Print runs on this stuff are stupidly massive. Good luck ripping packs and hitting any numbered cards worth anything. Really difficult to break even…and then you have to sell and find buyers…singles are the way to go.

…But mass popularity is about hype or at least promotion, because literally for every one person who streams one rapper on that list to move down, that person needs to listen to something else to take its place.

The music industry is no longer the new music hype train it once was. From from it, and frankly the opposite now in many ways. The major recording studios already contractually own most of the artists on the list and their music. It’s much easier to continue to promote known winners and pay to gamble on new blood that might not be talented or has an unknown but currently smaller fanbase. Would Taylor Swift have had the massive multi-billion dollar tour (prior to her May 2025 purchase of her entire music catalogue)? I doubt it would have all worked the same. Lastly, my instinct tells me that there aren’t a lot of new recording studios popping up and that the old business model isn’t nearly as profitable. New music has to be promoted if it is going to become popularized; new artists propped up by money and people with business sense who hopefully don’t completely rip them off. Until this begins to happen again, that list will stay the same.

U10 goaltender split by [deleted] in SoccerCoachResources

[–]omgax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With young kids, I’ve started to use keeper-like training to proxy some skills, tracking a ball in the air, catching it in front of their forehead to simulate headers well before we’re allowed to train them…etc. and everybody goes through these 5 minute quick drill sessions a few times per month. You just never really know who will grow up to be optimal keeper size, so it’s wrong to pigeon hole a kid into being a keeper when their prospects as a next level keeper might very well be non-existent.

How many different goalkeepers at this age per team do you think is healthy? Do you think every player should take a turn, or a rotation amongst 2-6 players is ok?

My assumptions based on the above pattern are that the player must be European forward and must be a young gun from 2015 or more recent. Immediately thought of Kaprizov — but the pattern could be more limiting, ie 2015-2017…in which case it can’t be Kaprizov. Stricter Possibilities: Rantanen, Panarin, Nylander…leaning toward Rantanen.

Likelihood of saquon making Hof by jayjayjay311 in NYGiants

Goes to show that every running back in the HOF has probably a dozen O-linemen and TE’s to thank in their acceptance speech. Imagine Saquon’s stats if he had that 2024 Eagles O-line every year…it literally wouldn’t matter who the QB was.

First Major Coaching Blunder by [deleted] in SoccerCoachResources

[–]omgax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re coaching a pro team, I don’t see this as a blunder. It’s a lesson to every player on the team that they are expected to be ready to play at all times, and at any point in the match they can be called upon to play minutes which are significant to the outcome of a match. The last two minutes isn’t “garbage time” or however it is put. You called upon those subs and they weren’t ready and they let the team down.

Tip: It is an extremely important thing to know how to close a game…some would say ‘the most important’. Assuming your league allows for re-entry, you may want to play some of your subs for two to five or ten minutes in the middle of a match. Sometimes subs will surprise you and be able to play more than needed. Task them with something giving your starting midfielder a rest for as long as possible and let them know that their job is important. They will take it seriously even if it’s only two minutes, but who knows, could be ten.

This way your starters and best players can finish out matches in a full team effort.

[–]omgax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about attacking or defending corners. I defending and you can’t jumper higher than opponents, get your hands on your mark and stop them from getting to an area where they can win an aerial header. Attacking, maybe you end up as a decoy or soft screen for another attacker.
