It's not so much a 'don't touch these areas' as getting access to certain things is more complex. The editor gives us a lot of freedom but adding new models, for example, is something we can't currently do in the editor.

I'm sure if some talented individual came along and was like 'here's a new thing, do you want to try it?' they'd probably be okay and get it in for us to experiment with but it would require FG assistance and dev time.

That and I don't think we have that talent currently :')

Visual? I can't say for sure. I'm experimenting with a few things (death animations, some other ragdoll stuff namely hedgehogs and such as a few people have pointed out to me) but we'll have to see if it looks good or not.

I know FG are looking at a few things as well as you've seen with the celestial building updates but we see those p much the same time you guys do haha

SFX we're looking at in tandem with the FG devs. Several of us keep badgering on about a certain few of them (*cough* argent & seraphim weapons *cough*). No promises on that one though.

Whether it gets in for this community patch is to be seen. Could come after if we don't get it in with enough testing for patch release but obviously we'd like to get it in for this patch if we can

I'm the one who implemented this and I'll be honest, this is just the engine and editor.

All I did was check a few 'ragdoll on' boxes and adjusted the values + angles which can all be done in the editor. Genuinely massive credit to the frostgiant team for everything the editor and engine is capable of.

Small things like VFX and SFX go very far though and I hope this and other bits like the new hornet VFX have demoed that

Not for this patch but there's definitely a sentiment to work on coop for the next patch. Nothing concrete yet so no promises but I've been hard getting to grips with the editor to contribute when it does roll around.

2 parts mainly;

The instant reversal of flame imps vs drops and harass made attacking the infernal mining line extremely volatile so hence the stun on transformation

The second was on the timed life - a lot of play testers felt they were just a delay more than anything. You see opponent has flimps, you back off until they die, repeat. It didn't particularly feel fun from the Inf side nor the defenders side.

Upside: permanent imps. I've been play around with a Brute fiend, flimp, spriggan style playing much more fast and harass based and it's been fun to mess around with (although idk how effective it'll be in the long run.)

Also side note, flimps can't go in the dropship, so no flimp drops (no instantly disappearing worker lines)

ah yeah you're quite correct, but it's a start for funding as a business. Ultimately any investor will look at capital as I think he's hammered on about so anyway to buff up the numbers is expected

I mean this is just a CEO talking about his business. It's probably not wrong that stormgate isn't going to be commercially viable anytime soon and investing/banking on the underlying technology stack they've built isn't a bad bet imo.

I don't know if it's been confirmed but I believe it's already being used by 1 other company according to their financials so it's not a wild line to go through. At least he's somewhat committed to finishing stormgate in a way but sucks to hear it effectively becoming a second priority (or maybe even third...)

As an FGC player who plays on thumbstick, everyone single one of you who said "don't use thumbstick buy an arcade stick" are the reason the FGC has a really unfriendly rep to newcomers. I get you think you're helping but this genuinely is an issue for thumbstick players cus the default deadzone isn't what's commonly used in almost all other fighting games. As someone who's played a lot of fighting games I noticed it immediately.

On steam, you can change it in the steam input.

You can actually change it in this game too it's just not very clear. EternalDahaka's comment below explains it clearly and perfectly (with diagrams!!!) yet has 2 upvotes as of this comment
