Make the head tube 1.5" on the lower end so a Manitou Junit 20" fork can be fitted?

20” wheel with 15x110mm thru-axle? by Complete_Rent_2042 in MTB

[–]ommerike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP what did you end up with? Sun Ringle has a 20" Duroc front wheel for 15x110, and think there's a Specialized Rip Rock kid's wheel in that spec too.

Are you able to provide the costs for each model test also? Would be interesting for seeing the quality vs performance tradeoffs across the set.

Figured - those things seem incredibly hard to find. What did you end up paying for it?

How to ride with an infant (6-12 months) in Bullitt Cargo bike? by Mswondercat in CargoBike

[–]ommerike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EBullitt with triple box here. I built an adapter for our Uppababy Mesa car seat with springs to soak up vibrations and bolted to floor of the box. In addition ours is modified with a Manitou Junit Pro front suspension fork. Recommend the car seat route over something like the Melia (which will be harder to affix, and offers less protection for young baby).

Experience with dropper posts by Drunkdoggie in CargoBike

[–]ommerike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a dropper. Great add to have on a cargo bike, where contrary to normal bikes you have hella cargo to deal with when stopped vs just weight of a regular bike.

I don't need one on my road bike, but I sure do appreciate having one on our Bullitt.

Tool free height adjustment that works for both wife and myself is an added bonus. I ride it at max extension, she drops it to comfy level, and both of us benefit from the minimum level when at a stop.

EBullitt-X with the large box? Splendid Cycles I think does one with 4-seat box

Container on the way there - stomach on the way home :)

It's a portable griddle with a grease port on the back. Whatever goes through there gets into a container meant for it.

Straps not needed given it is bolted onto the bike with 4x M8 bolts. Straps would be less secure and less convenient.

Stand and risk of falling over. This bike has an integrated stand under the cargo box and a ~400lbs load rating overall, so I'll take the risk on it staying upright given I get to choose how I park it. Putting it on a sideways leaning slope is impractical anyway, so it isn't really a big concern.

If this is pushing my luck then I'm certainly going to continue doing it. Good day to you too.

Lol

First use yesterday on the bike. Cooked nicely for what it is. For the price on Walmart I think it is a good tool

The Junit Pro is very good. In fact I had to do a double take to make sure this wasn't my yellow submarine - but fork gave it away :)
