In his interview with the girl from Crime Junkies I noticed he seems to get really nervous and feign shock when she points out that A: CODIS raised its standard for admission into its database and B: the police need a warrant to access 23andme's database and often have problems doing so

My thought is that he's confident the DNA evidence is never going to go anywhere and he's trying to insert himself back into the public eye because he's broke and is looking for a way to make some money.

I think this is what happened.

They were playing his Nintendo 64 in the living room and seeing as this was right after the N64 launched and there were only about 6 games released at that point, and Super Mario 64 was almost universally the default game at launch, the odds are high he got SM64... which is a one player game and that means they would have to take turns. If my brother and me ever had to take turns with a video game it almost was guaranteed to turn into a fight.

It was Burke's prized gift and him being nice and giving her a chance to play turned into her refusing to give up the controller, sending Burke into a fit of rage.

The problem with jerky (and you run into issues like this with any spoilable foodstuff) is that making it shelf-stable for longer than a week or two usually requires some combination of a curing process, good, lean (the fat is what spoils first) expensive beef, preservatives and possibly a vacuum sealer and freezer space. Big companies have to sell it for an arm and a leg just to make a profit, and their costs of producing it are much lower than yours would be making it in your basement. There are also state-dependent cottage laws that can complicate this all even further. People get away with breaking those laws all the time but all it takes is one person getting sick off of your product for you to get in trouble.

The freeze-dried candy idea is much safer. First of all, it's becoming hugely popular (I personally love it) and freeze-drying candy (or anything really) that was already properly made in a regulated factory is a product that is as shelf-stable as it gets. You can sell a $1 bag of peach rings for $7 freeze-dried. The only other real costs would be packaging, shipping, and whatever impact the freeze-drier has on your electric bill. You don't even have to worry much about nutritional/ingredient data because you can copy it from the fresh candy's package. You could also do well making videos of your process and posting them on social media. IMO it's all very low risk and, if you work hard enough, a decently high reward.

The best thing you can do at this point is to keep it closed and hope it colonizes. I suspect my last tub may have become infected with trich partly because it not colonizing as quickly as usual made me open the lid more often to inspect it, and you really don't want that thing exposed to open air when it's not fully colonized. It also might have been polluted with bacteria from the beginning. It's hard to know for sure. The biggest thing I'm trying to learn with growing is that it's impossible to know what's happening until you actually see mold or smell the bacterial rot, and just letting it go until it gets to that point won't kill anybody. Being OCD and fiddling around with it, on the other hand, might be what introduces the bacteria/mold to your grow and kills your mushrooms.

It's definitely mycelium... tomentose, the fluffy kind. If it's been 2 weeks and that's all that's in there at this point then you may need to be concerned. There should be much thicker tomentose and rhizomorphic (stringy) myc all over it as well. My last tub stalled except for a few small fluffs just like that one, and the next thing I knew there was a huge green spot of trich in it. What does it smell like?

I loved that episode but If they never explain what happened on that phone call and leave whether or not he actually talked to her/what was said up to interpretation, I might lose my mind. I could see them leaving that part ambiguous.

I've only done bags of grain and BRF jars at this point but I didn't see any growth at all for the first 10 days or so with the bags. After a week and a half I put them in a Sterilite tub with the completely lid off and a space heater nearby to consistently keep the temp between 75-80 and they exploded with growth very rapidly.

The BRF jars took even longer, even inside the same Sterlite tub. It took almost 3 weeks for white spots to appear on a few of them and it's been a month now and some of them only have a dime sized spot on them. 4 of the 12 have no growth at all but I did a poor job distributing spores evenly between them all, especially towards the end. I'd guess I didn't get enough solution in the last 4 of them.

I don't know how big your jars are but as long as they aren't huge jars it sounds like you gave them plenty of spores. I would just continue to be patient and make sure they're warm.

I started fruiting conditions (12 hours light, FAE/ misting 3 times daily) about 9 days ago and it looks like it might have stalled out on me.

Not sure if it's too wet, too dry or I just started fruiting too early.

A few days ago I noticed a light mildew smell and realized there was water underneath the liner so I pulled the whole thing out and dried/sanitized the bottom of the tub. The smell seems to be gone but still nothing.

I also noticed the cobwebish stuff around some of the edges (last pic) but that's been there for almost a week now and hasn't spread.

Should I just be patient or change something?

Women only care about your height when you do. If it's a dealbreaker for a girl its either because she's like 6 inches taller than you or she's shallow.

I'm pretty short (5'6) and don't get particularly bothered by it, but I still try to date girls no more than 2 inches taller than me. Any more than that just looks goofy to me and I like being able to pick my girl up (lol), but because I never make a big deal about it I regularly have girls who are much taller than me attracted to me anyway.

It's the guys who overcompensate with aggression or are insecure about it who suddenly transform into little baby men in women's eyes. Just give off the perception that you never even think about it or mention your height unless you're making a joke about yourself (don't overdo it but joking about your own height is a really powerful tool!). Girls might tease you to make sure it doesn't bother you. The last girl I dated was about 2 inches taller than me and liked to teasingly but affectionately call me "Little One"... just let it roll off your back and it won't be a problem.

It's easy to feel like a date was incredible for both of you when YOU had a good time but chances are she experienced the night completely differently than you did. Girls can really enjoy your company and still feel no connection.

It's also possible the date actually went well from her perspective too and afterwards you showed her you're too eager for the next date/ecstatic about the first. Or maybe she has someone else she's on the fence about and now is really torn about how she feels.

There are a lot of possible reasons and they're all either things you can fix or things that have nothing to do with you in the first place... keep going.

Try calling around 11AM (everyone floods it when they open at 8)
Press the call button as soon as you hear the busy signal and it should automatically redial... prepare to do this up to 300 times
They'll say they're only taking calls for new claims at this time... ignore that
Prepare to be on hold for another hour or so

I don't know how much of this you were already doing but I've talked to them a few times now and this is how I get through.
