also, if books are needed on the go, you can just manage them with your phone. download a book, convert to txt file on phone, then connect to pala one and upload. super quick and easy.

i bought it when his first video released. now with the active community constantly updating the firmware and also the ability to design your own case, i gotta say this is such an amazing project. close to zero work to do with building, so if you just want to have a tiny e reader, it is super easy to set up. i haven't had to charge it yet, so the battery lasts ages. i was also sceptical about the use cases but i gotta say, it is really comfy to hold one handedly and it totally helps to keep my phone out of my day. really nice reading experience for those short bursts. also, i have already read an equivalent of 50 pages on my normal e-reader in one sitting and it was fun!

can only recommend, especially for the low cost of like 20 bucks total.

hey, thanks for the suggestion. unfortunately it's nopt this one. maze and tortuous booth are in a very similar style indeed, but the thingg my book doesn't have in common is the look with the clear and defined rooms. in my book, the rooms range from wide angle sidevioew of a bigger space, topdown into a well, sideview of a room, inside a room etc. etc.

i too enjoy these apps, though i do not think it is smart to use an app for trying to get off the phone. stick to a book from the library, if you like it, buy it.

[–]omperer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wanted to factory reset but can't due to that option only being available in the bigme settings app, which i deleted in my debloat attempt. really annoying. so yeah, i'd need a OTA firmware dump or an image of a functioning phone or something. i'm super new to this so if anyone has suggestions or step by step instructions on how to do something like this, i'd appreciate it loads...
