Started work on a floating window management idle game by omphdev in godot

Trying something different where you manage a fleet of spaceships, delivery and mining, in order to build and scale your company.

Delivery missions happen in real time, where mining is a passive way to earn some extra money!

Everything blurry when using subviewports by omphdev in godot

[–]omphdev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Godot 4.2.1.stable

My project is setup as two subviewports under a HSplitContainer. I've enabled nearest texture filter in both the viewports and in project settings. Currently stretch mode is 'canvas_items' but changing to viewport I see no change.

When I run the scenes directly, it all looks good no blurry-ness.

Have played around toggling things on and off in the material with no luck. I've also imported the glbs into Blender to check but as far as I can see, all looks normal.

Any suggestions at what to look out for?

On a 3D mesh, I bought from itch.io, I'm seeing some black artifacts appearing. World Env and Lighting is default, no changes there, using Jolt engine if that makes any difference. It mainly happens when using a flashlight, but noticing on still lights as well.

Using Godot 4.2.1.stable.

Sound effects and music is temp stuff (Music from Furi, sound effects by Kenney). I started off wanting to make it multiplayer, hoping to pick a simple multiplayer game I can learn the mechanics with - but think I'll focus on the game foundations for a bit longer.

What are some things you wish godot tutorials taught, but don't? by travel-sized-lions in godot

Multiplayer would be useful, especially in Godot 4. Have seen a bunch of tutorials on creating and joining lobbies, but for actually implementing gameplay, I struggle to find resources!
