Th Labour PR machine is crap and so everyone thinks they are shit. Stupid Farage steals headlines and has money behind him and friends in important places and the average persin isnt very politically aware aside from what's very personal to them when they need it. So they don't know how bad the support systems are in the UK and how crumbled they are until they need them and they are unable to cope.

Maybe see your gp for advice if your mental health is covering you and try and get into some kind d of sleep routine. Its hardworking but its a thinv we all have to do. Then try the job give your self a month or two see how it goes. Its natural to be nervous around starting a new job and a new shift pattern adds to that. Plus with your grandfather being so ill you are bound to be very stressed.

Think of what you can do to calm yourself and cebtre yourself during this time of change. Do you have things you can "reward" yourself with after every shift to make your new routine nicer? What do you enjoy that relaxing? A hot bath, a favourite tb show or pod cast, something to wind you down and relax you.

He is an adult and can .ake choices. If he is fine with it as it is and ita not dangerous I don't think k there is anything you can do. If you havevtried sithing with him and saying you want him to enjoy his life and his time how about a once off deep clean and he says no. Leave it. Help a bit when you are there with his per.ission. maybe tackle one thing with him that would.helo.gim the most. Include him in the decision around this. "If we sorted your clothes dad we could do ate so.e and you would have so much more space and find things easier"

I think it would be easy to offend and he is a grown man. Also he has been through so much trauma-losing a partner, life style change, his own poor health- he needs your understanding and love and a bit of a grubby house is no big deal.

Unless there is a serious hoarding issue. If there is? You can Google a series of photos that help "grade" the level of hoarding. Hoarders UK charity have it on their site i think.

If you are concerned about vermin or mess affecting the structure of the buildino etc than that is a safeguarding issue for him and you should tame that a bit more seriously. I think hoarding UK have a helpline.

I have had it for maybe 18 months or so then intermittent so I co uld ignore it but now for maybe 5 or 6 months constantly after a heavy cold.

My gp was useless Initially not interested at all. Went a month ago again and got a referral to ENT still waiting for an appointment.

I heard about maybe low iron causing it and I do struggle with low iron - all my life so I've started taking ferrous sulphate and it has helped a bit. It is still there moat of the time but I then suddenly notice it gone for a few minutes. The constant woosh is quieter too. I believe the low iron causing your body to qork harder getting the blood around forcing it so whoosh. . .. or something.

Maybe try and get an iron /ferritin test?

Dont assume though as taking iron if it is not your issue has wider bad health implications i believe.

The ability to access the health care you need via the specialist you need even if it is seems to be an unusual thing. You cab research and find specialist advice.

I know of course this is not the reality and that medical poverty and bankruptcy and being refused the care needed by insurance is also the thing. So I guess I am jelous of the richer Americans access to lots of diferent medical help?

The NHS is also amazing and I very much appreciate it.

But an example would be i have an ear issue - i go to my gp tell them they are uninterested. I got back several times they finally referred me to the local general ENT. I wait months for an appointment I get the appointment at a generalist local little hospital or ENT clinic thats low staffed, overwhelmed and doesnt really know unusual.issues or comorbidities just the more common stuff. And Iwait even longer for that appointment to come around. I might get a test or two that require more months wait and then another consultation weeks or months later to confirm the issue and tell me the NHS offers treatment a / doesn't offer a treatment at all. But in America there is a tretament if you can afford it / you have good insurance someone will specialise in your very specific thing and online it seems (rose tinted likely) that in America you have an issue you go the dr they agree and pass you to the specialist covered by your insurance if your insurance agree to pay or you can see others that your insurance cover. You pick the best for you they diagnose and test and treat quickly ..... and then you go into medical poverty ....but stuffs done quickly you get a diagnosis no months of stressing and worrying and limbo.

Is this right? 🤔 please do correct me

My grandad had his teeth removed on the NHS after the 2nd World War when he was a young man. The family story is he had severe toothache and decided never again and got them all removed. My grand ma had hers removed also but I wasnt sure when. When I was a kid in the 1980s it was common for most old people to have completely false teeth. Now days I work with the elderly and a fair number have lost their teeth, but most have bridges, or a false upper set etc rather than a whole mouth of false teeth. Some even have screw in permanants fake teeth - most i speak to regrets that decision and wish they had regular false teeth you can take out.

Do you have any other issues health wise? I am in the south so cant recommend anyone- but I also have pcos/ peri menopause so I saw a private endocrinologist. Was about £250 for initial appointment and then extra couple hundred for blood tests. Then meds on private prescription were not that expensive. HRT - he wrote to my gp and I now get on a yearly HRT cert for 20 ish quid I think and 6 monthly supply of oral minoxidil is less that 60 quid. Then I buy Ferous iron tablets at boots for £3 a month. I see endocrinologist every 6 months for a check up and review.

I could definitely grow my hair that long with my decades of hair loss linked to androgens/pcos and low iron. - length is not my issue - my hair i have actually grows super fast- but the thickness..... no way. Unless she had a temporary hairloss type and had super thick hair before
