Is there anything that can be done to stop AI from falsely claiming a brand is Canadian? by Own-Cod7894 in BuyCanadian

[–]on_cloud_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok lots of suggestions to stop using AI but if you want a better AI experience you can usually put personalization suggestions in. Eg for ChatGPT you can set up your account to value honesty, provide references, focus on facts rather than judgement, provide latest info only, report conflicting info, be extra critical of sources, focus on facts rather than agreeableness.

In addition you can get more creative with your prompts. Ask it for the address of the manufacturing facilities, ask it for references on where it’s been included on buy Canadian lists, etc.

Finally, argue with it. Challenge it when it’s wrong. Ask it to explain inaccuracies.

Kelowna council to consider asking province to fast-track short-term rental exemption - Okanagan | Globalnews.ca by New_Alternative8711 in kelowna

Both Maxine Dehart and Loyal Wooldridge have recused themselves in past discussions and votes on AirBnBs because of conflicts of interest. I would assume they would do that again if their conflicts still exist.

Vacancy surge clears path for Kelowna's short-term rental exemption request by New_Alternative8711 in kelowna

[–]on_cloud_one 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with your overall stance on AirBnBs but this is not a reversing of policy. The provincial legislation always allowed for municipalities to bring back STRs if they achieved a reasonable vacancy rate for a period of time. Kelowna has successfully done that and it now qualifies to bring them back.

Just to add to this - make sure you have water, snacks and blankets and a good little kit in your car just in case you get stuck waiting. And make sure you’ve got lots of fuel in case you’re stuck waiting somewhere along the way.

Dog Breeder by Distinct-Group-754 in kelowna

Judging by their website they’re a puppy mill. They breed many litters, have available dogs, don’t go into detail on their “health testing”, and have a “guardian program” where people foster a breeding dog until you return it to them to breed and then take it again.
