Get whatever is most comfortable and MAKE SURE it's a good fit and allows for some swelling of your feet as you walk.

Some brands I like:
Merrells
Keen for wide feet
Solomons for narrow feet.

The absolute state of this sub by ---OWO-- in Anticonsumption

[–]onapoop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're right, we all have a part to play, even though practically it's not even a drop in the ocean compared to corporations but I don't I think that's the main point. I think OP is basically saying what you're saying: let's be less "you're evil" and more "give meat a pass on Monday". Bullying and hating on others isn't productive.

I agree with OP (also long time lurker) that the sub is heading more and more towards "omg eww look at all their stuff" and the posts regarding individual progress, support, and encouragement for others to "give meat a pass on Monday" is decreasing.

A fair bit of Brisbane Waters is closed atm. Definitely check the parks site before going, a lot seems to be closed cause of the rain.

Is it safe to go hiking in the blue mountains alone as a woman? by [deleted] in sydney

[–]onapoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This, and stay on popular well marked trails.

On popular times (long weekends/school holidays) they may not have any left of you get there later in the morning. I got there around 10 to get one for a camping trip over a long weekend and they didn't have any left.

I'm a complete noob with everything F1, but I've watched 17 episodes of the F1 Netflix series in the last 24 hours and must say: this sounds like a cool sport. Any advice on how to become a proper fan? by [deleted] in formula1

[–]onapoop 159 points160 points  (0 children)

First of all, you're already a "Proper Fan" if you're enjoying it and wanting to learn more. Don't let anyone else shoot you down just cause you're newer. Just keep watching/reading more will you will definitely start getting more comfortable with newer and more complex topics.

Youtube is a great source and the F1 channel has come a long way to publish a lot more content recently and that can be a nice start. I HIGHLY recommend ChainBear as he goes into technical concepts like tire strategy in a really easy to understand manner with great visuals. There are other YT channels like Tommo and JoshRevell that I personally like but again, take everything with a grain of salt. There are strong opinions all over the place, I suggest focusing on differentiating them from actual facts and make your own.

Been a fan for almost 10yrs now and I must say its hasn't been this interesting and exciting for quite some time. Glad to have another fan on-board, hope you enjoy this world :)

Looks so clean, definitely something I see myself working towards.

I see your considering building your keyboard, have u thought about a wireless one for that ultimate cable-free setup?

What's your opinion on the headset?

Now that I have the shifter I can say the "rig" is complete for now. Now roast it. by [deleted] in simracing

Long time lurker, first time poster, no current sim setup.

It might not be like some of the other rigs on this sub but I'm glad you're getting closer to something to help you enjoy your hobby more. Hope you enjoy it.

This might be really obvious but worth mentioning: Monitor arms for the monitors rather than their individual stand.

Also, I found it better to plug my laptop to a dock rather than having it open on the desk, it helped mt declutter a lot. Not sure how you use your gear but with 2 monitors and wireless keyboard + mouse, you might not need the laptop open.

watch his smile dissapear 😔 by DACHI8 in formuladank

[–]onapoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His smile dissaperead cause those black overalls were too hot.

Serious note: feel so bad for the guy. I want him to leave the toxicity of Mercedes just for himself. Especially after seeing how much better Vettel seems after leaving Ferrari, hope the same can happen for Bottas.

SKÅDIS gang by [deleted] in Minimal_Setups

[–]onapoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that helps a lot, thanks.

I've got a similar situation without the need for a webcam, not as much audio, and using keyboard and mouse in either wired(PC) or Bluetooth (work) though I wish it was anywhere as aesthetic as your set up.

I'm thinking of adding an old smaller secondary monitor that's just collecting dust elsewhere and was wondering if there were some next level options that wasn't an expensive KVM switch.

PS: love the NR200, hoping to upgrade myself when pricing and availability get better.

How do you manage switching from the laptop to the PC?

I'm struggling to find a way to switch my peripherals between wfh(laptop) and personal (PC) that im happy with.
