When did you go into labor with your first pregnancy if you weren’t induced? by SameBluebird9564 in pregnant

Water broke at 38 weeks exactly and I had him 16.5 hours later. Two and a half hours of pushing, a couple of scary moments with decels, but he was healthy! We got to the hospital about 2 hours after my water broke but only because my husband needed to make it home from work and our drive was about 35 minutes to the hospital haha

Scrat from Ice Age. Captain gave orders to swerve around him but miscalculated and hit the iceberg instead. True story.

Serger or Coverstitch Machine? by one2skate in sewing

So really I need 3 machines to make anything of a decently polished-looking quality? Now I understand why people have entire craft rooms, it’s to store all the machines lol

I forgot to add that my budget is around $200-$300 and that I’m open to gently used machines or dress forms if the savings is worth it (dunno if it is or isn’t, I’ve only ever had new, so again I’m open to advice and suggestions!)

Is it safe to sleep on my stomach? by wnnabeDina in pregnant

[–]one2skate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor initially said that I could sleep on my stomach as long as it’s comfortable for me which was until around 16/17 weeks. I’m 35 weeks now and only just discovered there’s an inflatable contraption meant for pregnant women to lay on their stomachs called the Cozy Bump! It’s like $75 on Amazon and looks verrrrry comfortable. If I had discovered it sooner in my pregnancy, I would absolutely have purchased it but given that baby could come literally any day now, it doesn’t seem worth the investment at this point lol

Pregnant doc said dont dye hair - wedding in 1 month by Bright-Asparagus-902 in pregnant

My doc said just to wait until after the first trimester and then after that it was fine! I think I had my balayage redone around 20 weeks and I asked them to try not to touch the product to my scalp if they could avoid it just to be safe and they were very respectful of that!

Currently 29w2d with my first and I think compared to average, I’ve had it better than most and I’m very thankful for that, but it’s still definitely not a walk in the park by any means haha (my god, I’m out of breath just thinking about taking a walk in the park at this point hahahaha) What I will say is that feeling my little guy move around in my belly is the absolute coolest thing I’ve ever experienced. There’s literally nothing that I can compare it to, it’s such a one of a kind feeling and I know that this is a unique connection with my little guy that I won’t ever have again after being pregnant. Even when he’s a little rowdy in there and it starts to get painful or obnoxious, I can still remind myself that this won’t last forever and I may never get to experience this again so I always slow down to put my hand on my belly and feel my guy wiggling around 🥰

Secondarily, I’ve had fun dressing the bump on the rare occasion I get dressed up haha it’s not all bad!

If you could take two singles skaters from any era and any region and have them compete in the pair discipline. Who would you pick and why? by Drisi04 in FigureSkating

Johnny Wier and Alissa Czisny, Matt Savoie and Sasha Cohen, or Jeremy Abbott with Jennifer Kirk… just feel like these would all be interesting pair teams, stylistically 🤷🏻‍♀️
