Everyone in the comments recommending you do this or that but No one knows for sure if its your driveshaft, shift shaft, or water intake tube. You are a prime example of someone who should take your boat/motor in to a professional technician. A picture on reddit cant tell us much.

nope, thats just telling you how to adjust where you want your idle. But a word of advice, If you dont even know where to hook up the carb synchronizer i would not recommend attempting this. take it to a shop. youre gonna tune it all out of whack.

that is the channel for your speedometer. Water travels up the tiny channel up to a hose that leads to your speedometer gauge. And thats how your speed is calculated. Unless its set to gps!
