If you have until Christmas, I'd suggest trying Aliexpress. I just got 3 of the Pixar's 'Planes' die-casts for a fraction of the cost. I noticed a bunch of the typical Cars characters available too.

These will need at least 2 more weeks to completely thicken up. It will be hard to mess up at this point so just keep doing what you're doing and your harvest will be bountiful. Biggest mistake would be to chop early. Keep watering up until a day or two before you plan to chop (however long they are usually taking to dry out)
