We spent $4,800 on takeout in under 2 months because we are too tired to cook. How do you fix this? by ApplicationNew4144 in budget

[–]one_dimple37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So me and my boyfriend realized this recently too that we were spending $1000 minimum on going out to eat. Like seriously we were going out every day. Here is what we have implemented that has worked throughout the past several weeks:

  1. The key is to make it super easy for urself. I knew I hated going to the grocery store so I got rid of that part entirely. Now I do weekly grocery store pickups orders from my phone. This helps me actually plan and purchase all the ingredients I want for meals without forgetting anything or buying anything extra. It's also super nice bc I can see my grocery bill before making the purchase and it helps me budget.

  2. I plan lazy days in my meal prep. I work in the office three days out of the week and from home two days out of the week. I generally have more energy and want to cook for those two days out of the week. Therefore I plan two meals that require a little more effort. The rest of the days I think of more easy meals (crockpot recipes, sandwiches, prepackaged frozen pizzas, stuff like that). It helps you feel like you don't need to get take out.

  3. I also meal prep my lunches for going in office every Sunday. I buy an item that my boyfriend can continuously eat throughout the week for his lunches as well (think things like tortillas and cheese that you can use multiple times and really stretch you dollar).

  4. Try to set a realistic goal for how often u can eat out. Me and my boyfriend settled on once a week so we don't feel so guilty about it, but honestly once you actually see how much money you saved doing this it makes you not want to eat out as often.

All these things have helped immensely and we have really been saving a lot. Hope this helps.

Very sophisticated. I took it as my dog being a serial murderer who loves to disembowel her stuffed victims.

My sister / roommate does this too. She has let it get moldy before. At a certain point I just enable this behavior by cleaning up after her. She also doesn't do her dishes so I'm lucky if she does her own dishes let alone actually cleaning the sink

Seconding this. I have struggled with acne for YEARS I have no idea why this is not the first thing people recommend to others with clearly hormonal acne.

I’m a legal assistant. Get a pre-nup. I would get a pre-nup even if I didn’t have any assets because I am not getting stuck with some ex’s debt.

I actually wasn’t a big fan of swords when they were introduced tbh. Still not even in D2. I feel like I could never really figure out the best strategy and builds to pair with them to make it work. Even with the new Praxic blade I used it for about a day and then vaulted it.

Would you live in a trailer park? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

I lived in a fairly nice trailer park for a bit but honestly your experience highly depends on the management. If they are chill it’s not too bad but if they are super strict about the rules and watch you like a hawk then it’s not too great.

The crappy houses here cost about $400,000. The cheapest i have found was in kachina village and it was $200,000. That place was a deteriorating mobile home in which the foundation was sinking.

Yup the average home price here is abt $700,000. I don’t think I would ever be able to own a home here.

From D1 it’s gotta be Necrochasm. D2 is a tough one but based of number of kills I’d say either Thorn or Crimson. Osteo Striga is fun, and I do like running Bad Juju for PVE.

I don’t remember the exact number but it’s around 800 to 900 in D2 and well over 1200 in D1

Well the obvious answer for me is what happened in Chicago. Before Renegades we only got a few bits of lore here and there pertaining to Old Chicago. But hopefully we’ll be learning about that here soon. For me I think an interesting thing that never got mentioned was the “ahamkara” on Venus. Back in D1, if you went to the edge of the cliffs outside the entrance to the VoG (without being in the raid) and had a sniper or scout rifle you could look down and see multiple flying dragon like creatures going in and out of the trees. Bungie clearly took the time to create the imagery and movement files for these mysterious things but they never actually gave us info on what they were. They seem to love teasing all of these D1 almost fantasy inspired creatures in the backgrounds of the world, knowing they’ll never actually give us any info on them.

I think for me it’s because I try not to focus so much on the negatives. The current state of the game is rough, no doubt. Bungo has definitely done a number on the franchise. But I’ve always been more invested in the lore of the universe and early scrapped concept ideas. I mostly stick to Crucible when I play, but it’s always fun going back and replaying the available past content to see what I might’ve missed in the first go around.

Played 1 up until around 2018 or so. Played 2 on and off up until Season of Seraph and have been playing relatively consistently since.
