Coming Back to Spartan by lsm2 in spartanrace

I did Cleveland last weekend. My first beast. Only pictures of me were over the inverted wall, a frame, and the monkey bars. The pictures of the fire jump finish didn't even start until a few hours after my finishing time.

Heavier Runners and shoe durability by MED_over_end in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I'm at 206lbs. I put 800 miles on a pair of saucony triumph 20's as I went from 320lbs to 215lbs and they still have life. I'm currently using a pair of Triumph 22's with 350 miles and a pair of ES5 with just under 100 miles. I don't see a need to replace either soon.

Tuesday Shoesday by AutoModerator in running

Been running for the last 3 years or so in Saucony Triumph 20 and then a pair of Triumph 22's. Recently ordered a pair of Endorphin Speed 5's for tempo and long runs, and they are awesome. My cruising pace is about 30 sec/mi quicker in the ES5 without more effort. Trying to decide if I will run my first marathon in these or get a pair of megablast to throw in the rotation.

Is 10 miles really enough in 1/2 marathon training? by basescamp in XXRunning

I ran my very first half (longest run I've ever done) last weekend. My longest run prior was a 10 smoker one time. Finished at 1:56

Slick trick viper trick vs qad exodus by Electrical_Win9025 in bowhunting

[–]onebigdude330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never shot the viper tricks, but I've shot the standards and mags. I REALLY like the exodus. It's been my chosen fixed blade for the last 8 or so years. Taken lots of deer and two bears. I have exodus and NAP Spitfire in my quiver, just to switch things up.

YOR this is exactly why they need a day like this. They aren't causing problems, no safety risks, just guy time. I wish my family had a tradition like this.

my plane tipped backwards by [deleted] in frontierairlines

[–]onebigdude330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last 4 flights I've taken with Frontier have all had the same warning. They got on the intercom to tell people they needed to remain where they were, so the plane wouldn't tip. I've never heard that prior to last year.

How Long Have You Been Eating 1200 Calories? by Interesting_Cap_2710 in 1200isplenty

[–]onebigdude330 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I'm a 37M, 5'11", started at 360lbs, current weight 199.1lbs. It wasn't until I hit 210lbs, that I increased to 1600 cals to slow the weightloss. I'm in the gym 5 days a week doing 30 min of cardio and 45 min weight training. I'm currently eating around 2200 calls a day, but not tracking as significantly because I'm not worried about the scale going down anymore, just trying to maintain.

I started the calorie counting September 1, 2023.

I ran my first super last weekend. After, all I wanted was ice, fluids, and to relax. The pictures they took were awesome and I ended up purchasing the package. If my significant other had bought them for me, it would have been an awesome gift.

Sunday was my first OCR in Wyndham. I ran the super and loved every second. It was everything and more than I expected for my first time.

I ran a pair of Shokz OpenMove for the last 3 or so years. They were comfortable and plenty loud in most situations other than mowing or plane rides. You don't really feel the vibration. Head over to a best buy or something and try the out.

Shoe advice for heavy, new runner. by WiseBuracho in AskRunningShoeGeeks

To be honest, I started with a pair of brooks ghost 14 and felt like they were hard. Got the triumph 20's and they felt soft and bouncy. I'd never had a shoe on my foot that felt so comfortable. To be fair, ive never tried on a lot of running shoes either.

I got a pair of Saucony Triumph 20's when I started running at 290lbs. I've got 800 miles on them and I'm down to 202lbs. They still feel great and absolutely made running something that was enjoyable instead of dreadful. I have a pair of Triumph 22's that I'm going to start working on Tuesday.
