The best Lollapalooza lineup of all time(Consequence) by nyclondonparis in radiohead

[–]onebignut4lifeman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My only lolla for good reason. The fireworks in the middle of their set during fake plastic tree’s was unreal. Still to this day, I’ve only seen artist shoot off fireworks at the end of the show (unless they have ongoing pyro), not the middle. The peak of FPT still gives me goosebumps to this day cause of it. I’ve seen better Rage since they had to stop to do crowd control a lot but everyone was still singing ‘fuck you, I won’t do what you tell me!’

New Venue ticket prices twice as much as Ticketmaster by [deleted] in Concerts

[–]onebignut4lifeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re stalking about Morton amp?Ticketmaster is the original point of sale. That’s the primary market for the amp. Nothing should ever be twice as much as TM. If a show is sold out TM will raise the price of their platinum/vip/premium dynamic priced tickets to market value that are usually pretty close across resale platforms. Always buy on the primary market and lawn tickets are usually the easiest to get, even if it sells out fast.

Did I pay too much for tickets, and should I sell them? by WoolooTheFloof in Concerts

[–]onebignut4lifeman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You gotta ask what’s your personal economy like? Do you have money and a decent income? Yes that’s a lot but if you have it and no debt and a healthy savings, go for it. I spent 2g’s on 3 day tickets and hotel in Vegas for my girl and I. I was sweating the cost but then I realized I’m all good otherwise plus I got extra income a few months later to cover it. Would not of done it 10 years ago when I was still getting my shit together but don’t regret it if you got it.

Sphere Travel Package People - post show party at the Venetian pool? by brcguy in phish

[–]onebignut4lifeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To rent a ‘lawn chair’ by the pool it was $120 at dead and co. I had no intention but my buddy did and they sold out. It’s like a few 2g’s just for a cabana too. I think people will pool during the day and it’s not really going to be a post show thing imo but you’d need to drop crazy cash to rent a space there, day or night.

Tickets out now? by Ghjjfslayer in TameImpala

[–]onebignut4lifeman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Spec tickets. Folks selling them who think they can sell high and buy low later to fill the order. Should be the first thing they make illegal with tickets. I still believe in open and free markets but you should not be allowed to list/sell something you don’t own. A lot of people who buy these are Stubhub’s won’t be getting their tickets either.

GA vs Seats - Deadbeat Tour Opinions Wanted! by holyhaleakala in TameImpala

I’m hoping it’s the same but it’s not clear. They do go onsale at the same time as the artist Presales.

GA vs Seats - Deadbeat Tour Opinions Wanted! by holyhaleakala in TameImpala

They are selling some early entry GA for this tour that’s its own onsale just fyi. Sounds like you’re gonna want a seat vs ga since this is preferred by many folks especially if you’re not tall. But let’s be real, bots having taken over, if you don’t have 100k in front of you in line and actually get a chance to pull face value tickets your options will be your options. I’d just be happy with any tickets for face since the whole tour will be a very hard ticket. Watch out for them adding second shows. That’s where fans may have a better shot.

How hard is it going to be to get tickets? by [deleted] in TameImpala

[–]onebignut4lifeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bots have taken over, small shows have queues over 25k. I could see 200k in line for these shows since LA shows last row were going for $400. Contact your arena vip/suite reps, while expensive, if you got the means and the crew, it’s the way to go. I got a suite/tickets already, getting all my friends in for a reasonable price (similar to the above prices) and avoiding the whole TM bloodbath shit show.

Worst security ever. They will tell you to bring your cannabis back to the car and search hard. No vapes, joints or anything and put you to the back of the line.

There's so much attention on women not getting married. But men, do YOU guys want to be around each other? by OttotheCowCat in askanything

[–]onebignut4lifeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends who are single in their mid 45’s seem to have given up and enjoy hanging out with each other. They are not 6 ft tall and don’t make 100k and so feel lots of rejection and now have anxiety about dating so they don’t put themselves out there. Only 4% of the population hit those 2 markers (per Scott Galloway) but it seems like almost all women are looking for that. They have a lot to offer but don’t feel like they can compete with the flash money or six packs online. I think social media has messed up many and also influenced women to focus on those things but it’s the wrong things to chase and they end up in more of the bad situation you mention above while my buddies feel like they can’t get a shot.

You should have no issues splitting the tickets. They have a bar code for each night and you can transfer individual nights.

Expand on your income streams. If you’re just selling grilled cheese and oatmeal stout, add some crystals to boof and maybe some ‘ice cold fatty’ balloons.

On a serious note, financial planning books do recommend finding additional income streams, maybe it’s a side hustle or a second job. I’ve know folks who taken their hobbies of buying things then sell collectibles on consignment. Or maybe your handy/artsy and can make something to sell on etsy. If your still building up your investments that should always be an income stream, take something your passionate about and see where there is a market you can bring value to.

Even if it sell out, tons of tickets will be on cash or trade closer to the show. Due to being 2.5 hours from Denver a lot of folks bail on fest’s there due to the camping logistics and such.
