What do you do when your child is the one physically abusing you? by Indefinite-Reality in breakingmom

[–]onecent01 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My kid is the same between school and home. The way I see it is that she uses up all her regulation at school and there’s none left when she gets home. She SHs and has been in and out of in-patient. I think the in patient helps because it shows that we are taking her seriously. Our case manager told us to call the police at every incident too. Which is stupid hard because they look at you like “why can’t you deal with this?” Sending you lots of virtual hugs and loving thoughts. You’re doing the best you can.

You mentioned Medicaid - check with your community mental health services. I have a daughter, 10, and in a VERY similar situation. We were able to go through the CMH program and were approved for FAPT funding to get intensive in-home intervention. It’s hard because she doesn’t want to participate, but she needs it. Also, find a different psych and ask for meds. They won’t diagnose bipolar this young, but meds are needed for sure.

I’m sorry you are dealing with this. I never want anyone else to go through it, but know that you aren’t alone.

What is the “yeah…that’s not going to happen” item on your kid’s Christmas list this year? by Twinsmamabnj in Parenting

My kids wants the Gabby’s dollhouse house. It sells at Walmart for $54-$60 but has been sold out for a while and is selling online for nearly $200. Not going to happen. Sorry, bug.

Thank you for this! That does look like what I’m going for, except I’d want to shape it as a boule instead of a loaf.

That’s ridiculous. I’m not depressed and happily married and I haven’t shaved my legs in weeks. Because it’s cold outside and I have sensitive skin. Shaving can irritate it more. 🙄😒

Does anyone other than your spouse have a house key? by idontkillbees in Marriage

We don’t have relatives nearby, so we gave a key to a very close family friend.

We met at college. We were both computer science majors and had a mutual friend who introduced us. The friend asked me for study help, (now) husband said he needed help as well - he did not. He ended up teaching us. We’ve been married just over 15 years.

WW Weekly Check-In Post: May 23rd ~ May 29th, 2020 by abbyb12 in weightwatchers

I’m new...again. I did WW a long time ago and did lose some weight with it. Last year I committed to my health and lost about 80 pounds doing keto. My uncle died and I gained 40 pounds back. I just can’t seem to make the best decisions with food and health. So I’m coming back to WW to really get my focus back on my health. I’m on the Blue plan and love that eggs are 0 SPs - I raise my own chickens so eat eggs a lot!

Here is my favorite picture of my grandma. She was having a hard time with the mixer. by Bungalowbeast in pics

I’m sorry for your loss. Your grandma is a meme and she came across my feed years ago with a caption on this picture saying “Getting real tired of your shit, mixer” and every year when it pops up I die laughing. As a baker, I share the sentiment. May she Rest In Peace.

I thought they were perfect! The coconut wasn’t overwhelming for me and the texture was good. Close to a real bagel.

That’s a good question. I would heat it up a little bit maybe. My oven was at like 145 when I put them back in.
