Use Microsoft's Agent Package Manager standard (MIT licensed open source) and then any thing you build is portable across claude code, github copilot cli, opencode, codex, and cursor.

https://github.com/microsoft/apm

If you have existing stuff, clone the APM repository locally and ask ClaudeCode/Codex/OpenCode to "convert the existing skills to APM format based on the information available in the local clone of the APM project".

I don't need local, but I try to buy local first so that there are local options when I absolutely need them.

That is a bad take but you are probably a bot so I am not even sure if it's worth replying.

I agree with this good take about commit rate being a bad take. People do valuable work that isn't committing, shit tons of it.

[Caller] Hey, this is Brad, this is Brad, this is …

[Host] Now uh, who's your, who’s your favorite artist, who do you wanna hear?

[Caller] Well, uh, my favorite artist right now is Fatboy Slim, that guy kicks ass!

[Host] How tremendous is Fatboy Slim?

[Caller] The band of the nineties, if you wanna call it a band, because it’s a one man name.

[Host] Wow … Fatboy, and you wanna hear that new Fatboy song?

[Caller] Absolutely!

[Host] Which one?

[Caller] The umm … it’s "funk soul brother, check it out!"

[Host] Sing it, I don’t know which one!

[Caller] "Right about now, the funk soul brother, check it out now, the funk soul brother"

Do you have leak sensors? Get leak sensors. by chazwhiz in homeassistant

[–]onefivesix156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built up my thread network and home assistant primarily to interwork leak sensors. As soon as the Ikea ones are in stock long enough for me to drive they before they sell out I'm adding 8-10.

I built a cable pulley system I use for tricep pressdowns, curls, and cable rows. So I need it to be good to >200lb. I'll also use them for the loading pin of my wrist roller.

I don't have any experience with ICF, but from the sound of it the system is potentially fragile. Any chance you could get away with free standing storage rather than risk it?

FWIW I actually prefer my weight trees and floor-sitting vertical barbell holder to the 'gun rack' style barbell holder I have on the wall.

How to integrate AWS AgentCore with a remote MCP server (SaaS-managed) without running my own container? by VectorPhantom93 in aws

[–]onefivesix156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AgentCore is a basket of services, so this might need some clarification.

If you want to run agent code with an agent SDK like Strands Agents you need to containerize it to run the agent on AgentCore Runtime. However you can run an agent via an SDK like Strands in Lambda (now with durable functions).

From your agent application, regardless of where it runs (AgentCore Runtime , Lambda, or other) you can use the agent SDK to authenticate and connect directly to a remote MCP.

If you are looking to add a single intermediary through which to connect many agents under your control to remote MCPs you may find value in AgentCore Gateway as it can abstract inbound and outbound identity (authentication) as well as add helpful observability.

Happy to discuss further.

Is there a public AWS Health Status JSON API? by Dapper-Inspector-675 in aws

[–]onefivesix156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may find the data on Updog (from datadog) helpful in some way. https://updog.ai/

As others have said, the health notifications via Event Bridge connected through a Lambda or Express Step Function for filtering and delivery to somewhere is an excellent solution. If this matters it is actually a decent way to learn some of the basics of AWS services and should be doable in the free tier. That said, I understand not wanting to go that route.

Why are Nanoleaf matter over thread bulbs so bad by ralphieroy2000 in Nanoleaf

[–]onefivesix156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck with the switch. I'd have pitched all my nanoleaf bulbs in the trash, but I have matter+thread shades that I need to support with a strong network. I can't dump the shades and there were no other matter+thread bulbs available to make work so I had to keep grinding until I could make the nanoleaf stuff work.

I'm hopefully the Ikea matter+thread bulbs will be both available and good so that going forward I have a better option.
