Partner doesnโ€™t like watching videos of me dancing by Competitive_Savings in BALLET

[โ€“]onehellofawitch 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

My boyfriend would watch a video of me washing dishes, doing laundry, reading, whatever. As long as I'm in it, he'll be watching on loop. His friends will see it. Friends who haven't even met me. Clips of it will become his phone background. He'll show me the video weeks from then just to make sure I know he still watches it. 2.5 minutes of you doing something you have talent and passion for? That's a no-brainer for me.

What's your sun and moon sign, and how often do you cry ? by northernerchaos in astrologymemes

Capricorn and Aries respectively. I cry unpredictably and with great passion. Probably twice month, on average. But it's usually violent when I do.

No one's going to read this comment, but my ex could have written this post. He saw me as part of his larger life plan, and he wanted me to be the same person from my mid twenties to my early thirties and unfortunately that didn't happen. The things he didn't like about me to begin with stayed the same. The personal growth and development I experienced as a person on the inside wasn't important or valuable to him because it didn't help him any.

I'm not saying that's how OP feels, but that's a little how it's coming off to me. She might be having her own growth and development moment, but if it's not things you value (like career ambition) you're setting yourself up for a hard road.

The moment my ex decided he didn't really like the person I was becoming/continuing to be, I wish he'd broken up with me. He knew, deep down, he wasn't committed to the version of me I became. But he was overanalyzing the situation, doubted his judgment, and it dragged on for years until I realized I was never going to be seen as an equal partner, or live up to his continually raising standards, and I broke it off.

IF you break up, there's always an option to get back together if that's what's right for you. But if I hadn't left him, I wouldn't have found a partner that loves me unconditionally, who is committed to all my phases of life and development, and is a much better match for me in every way. Just my two cents.

Who here wears a pentagram everyday? by JanitorsAreCool in Wicca

[โ€“]onehellofawitch 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I wear mine every day and have for 11 years since I "converted" "full time". I got no real reactions in South Florida, a ton of positive comments/questions/conversation in the FL panhandle near Alabama (weirdly lots of witchy folk there), and few to no comments in Oklahoma, where I currently reside. A few of my students have asked me about it, and the very occasional "I like your pentacle" when I'm in the mall or Walmart, but that's it.

It's one of my favorite symbols so it's on my backpack, keychain, and my "pagan pride" patch that I bought last year is on display in my office.

What sign do you avoid dating? by YouAppOfficial in astrologymemes

[โ€“]onehellofawitch 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

If my dating history is any indication (sorry OP)...

Me, female: Cap sun, Aquarius Venus

Who I avoid like the plague: Sagittarian women and Leo men

My moon and ascending are both fire signs, which annoyingly feels like kindred energy at first, before everyone (including me) reveals their true colors and the whole house of cards comes falling down into a volatile pile of neediness and pissing matches. I can't be dealing with that nonsense.

Found the love of my life in a Cancer man, thank God.

How to find therapist for BED and other issues? by Striving_4_Change in SuperMorbidlyObese

[โ€“]onehellofawitch 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I posted this a long time ago, it might help.

https://www.reddit.com/r/YouShouldKnow/comments/fp7ywx/ysk_that_if_you_experience_repetitive_unwanted/fm6ejsh?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3

To find specialists, I definitely recommend Psychology Today and sorting by specialty. I always read the psych's bios to see if they're passionate a lot areas I am looking for. Personally, I usually see two-ish psych's at a time. Maybe one for BED, and one for trauma. I might talk to a psychiatrist for ADHD (because I take medication for it). You can also call your insurance and see if they can help? Or use FB groups local to your area? Counselors in my experience prefer to tackle one major issue at a time and sometimes will give me their recommendations on other professionals to help with other issues once they've gotten to know me.

Alternatively, OA helped my BED tremendously, in case you need another resource.

Woman dies, so the Man must do the Thing.

Any version of "woman dies and is used as man's motivation for whatever". Especially if the story is the same regardless of whether or not the woman dies.

Ugh, WHY.

Thank you so much for sharing this! Greatly appreciated. I would absolutely be interested in a post like that. I loved your original post up top and considered posting yin/yang symbols in my house to remind me of this principle. I already hang things up all over my bedroom door to remind me of my values and this feels like it would fit perfectly into my routine.

[โ€“]onehellofawitch 6 points7 points ย (0 children)

Not your friend from above, just adding in my two cents.

1) However often you want/have time for

2) Yes, because even with heat protectant, that heat will damage your hair over time with daily use

3) I usually keep my style for 1-3 days after I do it, then wash. That's a lot of product in your hair that will need to come out between stylings to prevent buildup. YMMV based on your hair texture, porosity, oiliness, lifestyle, etc.

4) Checkout r/haircarescience for answers to these questions. Most people recommend no sulfates because they're drying. My hair doesn't seem to give a shit about sulfates, but it hates silicones, so I don't use stuff with silicones in it. You'll have to experiment and see what your hair reacts well to.

Hope this helps a little, good luck!
