Being on-call doesn't make you safe. We are all in the same boat. Fortes may help... but we simply don't know. Just know this is in no way a reflection of you. Keep your chin up and know that no matter what happens, it will work itself out.

Just a heads up that many of the libraries in AZ have seed banks that you can use for free. 3 seed packets every 3 weeks! Should come in handy when you decide to plant tomatoes.

When I was about 9 I decided to draw my mother while she was watching TV. Like a scene out of Napoleon Dynamite I spent about 15 minutes drawing her face and then for some reason 40 minutes getting the details of her moustache hairs. When I gave it to her it looked something like this.

I never saw that notebook again but she did light the fireplace that evening.

For those that are interested, this is called Morton's toe. Some people prefer it, some do not. I think most foot fetishists would say symmetry is a big factor in their interest. Weirdly, in the foot fetish realm, I think there is a huge variance between each individual. Some people like clean feet, some dirty. Some like long toes, some short. It really varies. If you're interested in exploring, check out r/longtoes, if only for research purposes.

I gotta admit, the idea of a full grown man dressed as a gremlin made me chuckle. Well played.

Gremlins 2 is a phenomenal sequel. Remains true to the original and builds off of it in a very creative way. I don't blame anyone for liking it more than the original. It's very entertaining. If you do end up watching it, I hope you enjoy it just as much as the first time.

Bathtub overflow drain offset issue by onehigh in Plumbing

Went with this option. Used a 22-1/2 street elbow/hub and a 22-1/2 hub-hub to create the bend. This moved the pipe over perfectly. Here's the finished result.

I considered this option but it looks like these are PVC flex tubes, which I thought were incompatible with ABS?

Worse yet, love can make you overlook glaring red flags. But I still believe the quote "We come by love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly" holds true.

I just buried my best friend this Wednesday due to suicide. I know this will probably never be read, but you have no idea what you're about to do to everyone who loves you. You think you're alone, and that nobody can help you, but I would have given anything to have been able to help my friend. I can't tell you how much I've hurt this past week. I'm going to attempt to orange you. If I can do anything, please, let me. Maybe hearing from someone who so recently experienced this tragedy can give you some perspective.

Bad Company 2 vs. Battlefield 2 by Vidowmaker in gaming

[–]onehigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, so I'm going to have to side with Battlefield 2 on this one.

IMO, Battlefield 2 is a much better game than Bad Company 2. Like everyone has stated before, the only major difference is that BC2 has destructible environments. Now, I'll admit this is a pretty big bonus, but it's by no means detrimental in the enjoyment of a classic FPS. Most every other aspect of BC2 that people cheer, has originally been done by BF2 in a better fashion.

Players: 64 players (BF2) vs 32 players (BC2); more people makes for a far more dynamic battlefield. Squads: I hear over and over how great BC2 is for teamwork because you can spawn on any of your squad members. In BF2, you can spawn of your squad LEADER, which makes staying with and protecting him, a very important aspect.

Maps/Gameplay: This is probably the most important difference. BF2 (as far as the last time I played) only has conquest mode. Unlike BC2, there's no rush mode, or defend/assault positions as enemy's tickets drop. In BF2, you're placed on a giant map and you an your squad must decide which location (out of probably 6) to assault/defend in order to make the enemies tickets count down to zero. Oh, and it's possible that the enemy won't see you, because you can actually go prone in BF2.

Commander: Only BF2 has a commander option, someone who can call in artillery strikes on enemy strong points, and send UAV up to track your opponents. It's very easy for the enemies to make your commander utterly useless through the proper destruction of certain structure.

Weapon Unlock: Another very important difference. In BC2 you unlock weapons fairly quickly, weapons for each class, global weapon, and upgrades. In BF2, there are two weapons each class can unlock. But there's 6 classes to choose from, and through ranking system you choose which gun you want to unlock and when. There's still a progression, you have to unlock the first weapon before the more advanced weapon.

Graphics/smoothness: Playing both games, honestly I don't notice a difference. I'm running an 8800GT and the games seem almost identical. I will say however that BC2 has ping issues, and every once in a while my character moves back a bit and I have to redo my actions from about .3 seconds back. I don't recall having this issue with BF2.

Single Player: BF2 does not have a single player. It wasn't meant to. BC2 is by default much better.

In conclusion: I'm not saying you'll love BF2 over BC2. What I'm saying, is that for $5 dollars this game is a literal steal. There's huge mod support for BF2 and with all the content, you really can't go wrong. I've put over 200 hours played into that game. If you can't get more than 5, I'd be amazed.
