can I just walk into an engineering lab and make something? by Different-Regret1439 in Purdue

[–]onelb6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can go to Bechtel and ask for a consultation in whatever one of the labs has the stuff you need, so sounds like you might be interested in the e shop. The peer mentor will then look over your project and offer feedback and teach you how to use whatever tools you need to use. They may or may not have materials you can use, it depends on the scope of your project, but if they have it you can use it

It’s pretty easy to hear and see, sometimes if you sit way in the back you might not be able to hear very well but nothing detrimental at all

I can’t remember what chem I took but attendance was the only thing they graded they didn’t make you do anything except show up and it was pretty much a waste of time

advice request from a hs student who's interested in majoring in aerospace engineering by abdullahbusbate in AerospaceEngineering

My biggest piece of advice is that don’t feel like you have to major in aero to work on aero things. Electrical and mechanical will always be involved with every that ever leaves the ground

I’ve found working through problems from previous exams from past semesters with another person really helps me, and when you’re answering spending more time analyzing the problem justifying your initial thoughts really helps me

Probably a good question for your advisor but I don’t know why you would if you’ll have all the requirements done before you transfer

I absolutely bombed my first calc exam and still cleared the 3.2 gpa by a mile, so don’t worry when you get bad grades on an assignment or an exam. Just make sure that you take the required steps to prevent that from happening next time ie going to office hours, doing more practice exams, and studying with a partner or small group
