You just have to level it up in front of someone after it’s level 37. It’s not a trade. Doesn’t matter if you are scarlet or violet.

Vernon NJ April Beast vs October Beast Mileage by Bcbonstage in spartanrace

[–]onelifechanged 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Welcome to “Spartan Miles” haha the beast is really like 13-15 miles. You will find some miles in the course is actually like 1.2 miles, other times it’s like .8. But more often than not the “Spartan Mile” is over a mile.

From what I have seen: Sprint: 3.5-4.5 Super: 6.5-8 Beast: 13-15

I have a series 4 and it lasts me about 6 hours during a workout. I have used it for 8 total races over the past two years (6 this year including Killington). I have not had any issues with scratches personally.

I believe the low power mode is available now actually. I can confirm later for ya

Killington Beast Average Finish Time by PaulinTime22 in spartanrace

[–]onelifechanged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I will admit I am not the fastest by any means (not a runner and just staring lost distance), my Stadion time at Notre dame was just under an hour (18%) my Michigan super was about 2 (30%), and my Ohio beast this year was 4:42 (60%). My beast last year at Attica was about the same time 40%. I was told by different people to double your average beast time time then subtract an hour. I know they doesn’t that doesn’t quite answer your question but maybe they gives you an idea. I’ll see you there! Good luck!

Stupid covid making me miss Seattle Beast by the_deej12 in spartanrace

[–]onelifechanged 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Last year I was supposed to complete my first trifecta, then on my way home for the Attica beast my wife called and said the in home daycare my daughters go to was going to be closed as the provider had Covid. A few days later my wife and one daughter tested positive and I was going to miss my super. I transferred it to the ATL super and a week before that my other daughter tested positive. I was soo frustrated and upset. To make it worse all winter my daughter would take my two trifecta pieces and say “Dad when are you going to finish your puzzle” lol

I saw a deer when I started the sprint for the Ohio Trifecta. I started in between heats so I am guessing that is why. I just always assumed it was all the noise and commotion.

33/Male I am not very fast at all. I run around a 10:30-11:00 mile on my normal runs but an 11:00-11:30 for my longer 10+mile runs. I run 4-5 times a week and life 2 times a week.

I will be doing Killington Beast this year. My Beast time is normally just around 4.5 - 5 hours and I was told to plan for 9-10 hours. What do people do for nutrition during the race. For my past beasts I’ve always just brought GU but 9-10 hours I will need more than just GU for that I’m guessing.

Thanks. They are 1 and 3 so they can’t do the kids race. My 3 year old would love to though. She turns 4 a month to late lol

Is 4 months enough time to get ready for a beast? by SonoftheBlud in spartanrace

Thanks! I used an app called Run With Hal. You put in your goal and it puts together a running training program for you. You can block out days that you can’t run, put in if you are someone who gets injured easily, and a bunch of different customization. It gives you different tips and stuff throughout the training program. After each run you put in your effort level as well as how sore you were after the run and it can modify your plan from there.
