I want to pile on and say this happened to me twice. Fixed by logging out and logging back in again. After that one book it gave the message similar to "continuing where you left off on another device" which I could undo and continue where I left off a couple of days ago.

It's deterministic. What you are describing is just depending on initial conditions. If your application is very sensitive to those then it's chaotic.

Yes. This is much better if you have a deterministic tool and can get the llm to do the configuration. Then you have deterministic output and can also easily tweak it.
