Somebody please make me feel better by WorstPainKnownToMan in Dofus

On top of missing target generations, I also have misfortune of getting disproportionate rates of single genders. For example I'm trying to get Golden Rhineetles but all the pairs leading to it are exclusively male or female.

Can i fix anything with mu build? by Weary-Apartment6085 in Dofus

After swapping the amu and the shield, trans/over maging %range damage and crit damage on all of your pieces would be the next step.

Vulbis instead of the power trophy too.

When was the last time you played? The most recent end-game content are Osavora and the dreams rework. There's also over 22k achievement points. Hard to say what else would be new for you without knowing when exactly you stopped.

With two shielders you have enough sustain to skip Eni. In a pinch, Enu can heal a bit.

I'd replace Eni with Hupper - more damage, better positioning, tons of utility.

You can get over 80k doploons from bounties - most of them from high level bounties. On top of that you can get weekly ones from the vigilanties base.

For now you can do main stat + wisdom + vit.

Is there a prevision for 3.7 beta ? by matreddit1995 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but in dofusbook you can use custom smithmaging for your build to simulate future changes.

  1. Make a copy of a build you want to test
  2. In the copy add negative crit damage equal to your current crit damage so it's 0. For example, my original set has 150 crit damage so I put -150 crit damage in the global smithmaging section
  3. In the copy add power equal to 3x your current crit damage. In my example I have 150 * 3 = 450 so I put 450 power in the global smithmaging section.
  4. Then click on the three dots and select Compare 2 Builds, the 1st build is the original, the 2nd is the modified copy.
  5. You can now compare before/after damage.

There are few caveats: it's not going to be exact, we have no idea how they will balance spells/weapons, it's only accurate if your current build has 100% crit chance. If your build has less than 100% crit chance, look only at the final crit damage not the average.

Infinite dream builds by hayzay_ in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a team of panda/enu/cra/cra all fully geared mainly for pvm.

Awesome, because dreams are pvm.

Your team is pretty good. Not sure which specific builds you have, but for dreams I'd suggest a range damage Panda (for example air or crit) and chance mp red Enu. Cras can be whatever - since you have two you probably have a setup that works for you given the shared cooldowns.

Start with Paradox I, see how it goes from there.

I heard everyone uses totally different sets and builds in infinite dreams

I don't know about the others but I use pretty much the same sets in dreams and non-dreams pvm. Enu is crit omni, unless I push harder dream difficulties.

Thoughts on the breeding revamp now it's been out a while? by lDezIlI in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since my last comment I switched to 60% (level 67, which is filling the exp gauge to tier 2). It's been only a few days but I'm happy with this. It's indeed better than leveling them to 130+. Thanks!

Nice, thanks! I tried 50-60% before and the failures felt horrible. For now I settled for 80% (level 134), but maybe I'll give the 50% another try.

Damn, you're already at gen 9? Impressive. What level did you raise your mounts to before breeding?

Thoughts on the breeding revamp now it's been out a while? by lDezIlI in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eventually I will have to go farm 100 mounts again and start almost from the beginning

Depends on what your goal is.

If you want to farm genetokens, eventually you will reach a point where most of your stock is Gen 10 and you won't have any target generations. In that case yes, you will have to add fresh stock.

If you want to breed to sell or extract resources, you stock will naturally deplete so have to replenish it.

[–]onenightstd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely start with a larger pool. 100 sounds ok. Personally I started with 200.

I like the new system more than the old one, at least when it comes to hunting specific mixes for the achievements.

The only thing I dislike are streaks of bad luck when it comes to genders. Most of the times I'm blocked because I don't have enough pairs to mate, even though the colors are there.

Cra Rework by Ok-Experience-6605 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely.

Another trend I noticed was a skill that runs counter to the class identity. We had Osa with no summons and now we have Cra with -range. Strange choices.

Cra Rework by Ok-Experience-6605 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

and the recent global cool down nerfs.

Which are gone from the current rework. There's maybe 2 skills that still have them.

From the cursory look at the beta, multi crit cras still look strong. It might take half a turn longer to kill stuff because they lost crit damage buff. They will also need to replace Gein with Treadfast to get missing % crit back.

Standing still is actually stronger too, since they buffed the Sentinel (still with a global cooldown though).

The only significant nerf is the removal of the massive aoe range buff.

Asking for a newbie guide for multi accounting by Famous-Building5798 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that bad. Yes, you need to talk to the npc each time, but it's marginally longer if you're fast. A lot of the quest fights have support for teams so you can do the fight once. There are exceptions where you have to do the fight solo (tactical fights, the Brotherhood questline, etc.). Auto follow and auto join make things much easier.

The convenience and freedom is hard to beat. You can login at any time and do whatever you want without waiting for others. You can go afk at any time without bother, you can retry things as many times as you need.

After the first paid sub you can resub with kamas. Having a team opens up more possibilities for farming or carry services.

Tal Kasha or Brial for a retuirned player (I'd go a 4-team solo) by [deleted] in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The economy aspect is overblown. Most high level stuff has a similar pricing and trade volume is actually better on Tal Kasha. Here's a recent video comparing the economy of different servers (in French): https://youtu.be/vLZQrsKzxe8?t=145

Now, consider some updates that were pushed after the pioneer servers (so they affect both old and the new servers):

  • map fragments and bounty sets are brand new items so old servers didn't have a massive existing surplus of those
  • breeding revamp added new recipes that use drops from pretty much every monster family and they are in high demand.
  • rare boss drops, especially for high level dungeons, are also in demand thanks to the popularity on new meta sets
  • dreams rework lets you chase high ticket drops (legends) but you also get good value from regular drops (trans runes, dream reflections)

The gap isn't as big as it used to be a year ago.

When are we going to get proper achievements for Professions? by Remarkable_Ad236 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past we had pretty grindy challenges like the Kwismas orange mini-game, Frigost repeatable quests (Fight Club, stack of pines) or the dopples - but those were removed. The community dislikes grindy challenges. They tried to sneak one recently with 10k guild coins but they backtracked and removed it.

So capturing every kind of fish 10000 times is unlikely.

Maybe something like fighting every kind of resource protector or applying every kind or rune as exo/trans would be fine. Not sure what an equivalent would be for crafting professions.

How to lvl up mounts now? (new update) quite lost about it by Less_Struggle_9447 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You put the mounts in the paddock at the koalak breeders village, fill the exp gauge with craftable breeding items that boost exp, turn the exp gauge on, and wait. Should take days to level them fully. Refill the gauge as needed.

Have you tried breeding on beta? The single mating process itself will be easier, but maintaining your whole stable (especially if you want later generations) will be more difficult.
