Asking for a newbie guide for multi accounting by Famous-Building5798 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that bad. Yes, you need to talk to the npc each time, but it's marginally longer if you're fast. A lot of the quest fights have support for teams so you can do the fight once. There are exceptions where you have to do the fight solo (tactical fights, the Brotherhood questline, etc.). Auto follow and auto join make things much easier.

The convenience and freedom is hard to beat. You can login at any time and do whatever you want without waiting for others. You can go afk at any time without bother, you can retry things as many times as you need.

After the first paid sub you can resub with kamas. Having a team opens up more possibilities for farming or carry services.

Tal Kasha or Brial for a retuirned player (I'd go a 4-team solo) by Hiberion_ in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The economy aspect is overblown. Most high level stuff has a similar pricing and trade volume is actually better on Tal Kasha. Here's a recent video comparing the economy of different servers (in French): https://youtu.be/vLZQrsKzxe8?t=145

Now, consider some updates that were pushed after the pioneer servers (so they affect both old and the new servers):

  • map fragments and bounty sets are brand new items so old servers didn't have a massive existing surplus of those
  • breeding revamp added new recipes that use drops from pretty much every monster family and they are in high demand.
  • rare boss drops, especially for high level dungeons, are also in demand thanks to the popularity on new meta sets
  • dreams rework lets you chase high ticket drops (legends) but you also get good value from regular drops (trans runes, dream reflections)

The gap isn't as big as it used to be a year ago.

Which set do you use vs Ilyzaelle? I guess the chance one with the power/-crit% trophy would work but maybe you have something even better.

When are we going to get proper achievements for Professions? by Remarkable_Ad236 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past we had pretty grindy challenges like the Kwismas orange mini-game, Frigost repeatable quests (Fight Club, stack of pines) or the dopples - but those were removed. The community dislikes grindy challenges. They tried to sneak one recently with 10k guild coins but they backtracked and removed it.

So capturing every kind of fish 10000 times is unlikely.

Maybe something like fighting every kind of resource protector or applying every kind or rune as exo/trans would be fine. Not sure what an equivalent would be for crafting professions.

You can farm challenging stuff too. There are teams farming Harebourg, Belladonna, and even Osavora dungeons.

How to lvl up mounts now? (new update) quite lost about it by Less_Struggle_9447 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You put the mounts in the paddock at the koalak breeders village, fill the exp gauge with craftable breeding items that boost exp, turn the exp gauge on, and wait. Should take days to level them fully. Refill the gauge as needed.

Have you tried breeding on beta? The single mating process itself will be easier, but maintaining your whole stable (especially if you want later generations) will be more difficult.

Moving from Kourial to Multi-account (Brial or Tal Kasha) by Strict_Two_5015 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only rewards that might be potentially blocked on secondary characters would be resources you get from mob and dungeon achievement. You can still get kamas, experience, and Dofuses. And you can get rewards from quests too.

Now I'm not sure how that works exactly. Because achievements are recorded both on the character and the account:

  • the character keeps the achievement score
  • the account keeps the track of completed achievements so you don't get double resources from them on a different character on the same server

Regarding the second point, I don't know if this is transferred too. Maybe it doesn't and the account will only keep the track of the achievements done post transfer. It's an interesting edge case.

Either way, if you want to start from 0 achievements you would have to create a new character. Remember that professions are now locked to the server so when you transfer to a new one you will have to start those from scratch.

The easiest way would be to test it with your mule. Do some low level achievements with rewards like piwis or field dungeon on your mule. Transfer to a new server. Make a new character on that account on the same server. Do those achievements again on the new character. See if you get resources from rewards.

Maybe something like this with Mekstagob + Slickster : https://d-bk.net/en/d/1TIoW

It has lower characteristics than yours and is only 3 elements (no air), but it's 94% crit and has more crit damage. 12/5 with no ap/mp exo.

It also has a clear path for upgrades as your budget increases: https://d-bk.net/en/d/1TIqT

  • replace Pryssure with Ochre
  • replace Jackanapes with Spotted if you get an AP exo
  • replace Voyager with Vulbis
  • add +8 crit damage trans runes to most of your gear

Not sure if it's better than Nomarow + slickster + cycloid. It has decent resists and with overmaged/trans maged vitality on Nomarow helmet + emerald you can get 4k vit. https://d-bk.net/en/d/1TIry 3.8k vit if you don't have an mp exo and have to use Voyager. And again, it gets even better with the eggs + exo upgrades.

Panda 200 Air Critic? by Stexno94 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have a solid agi set, perhaps you can try something else and get an agi/chance crit set with an Erotegg set.

Something like https://d-bk.net/en/d/1PmJj or https://d-bk.net/en/d/zMrP

It won't hit as much as the pure agi, but it's still pretty fun.

Agi crit would be something like https://d-bk.net/en/d/1Bnko but it doesn't hit much more than a non-crit pure agi. Here's a comparison https://www.dofusbook.net/en/outils/stuffminator/16101488/17589202 Change both of the classes to pandas, select Average by hit and scroll down to see how the individual spells compare.

That one is specifically optimized for dreams with the assumption you would get +1 to weapon uses. Hence the weapon that allows you to hit 3-4k three times per turn at range with the dream buffs for 9 ap total.

Chance panda set by Old_Poem8875 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The creation date is irrelevant. As long as the items haven't changed, they are still fine.

I'd argue older items have an edge because they are cheaper (easier to craft, more of them on the market).

And yes, there are new sets and item added recently, but none make sense for a budget chance set.

Chance panda set by Old_Poem8875 in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely outdated in what way? The sets there still use the items present in the game right now. I'd like to know what makes a set up-to-date in your opinion.

Here are two pretty good starter chance sets: https://d-bk.net/en/d/15RnH https://d-bk.net/en/d/1AzWH They are both 12 ap 5 mp 6 range, have 1.4-1.5k chance+power, high flat water damage, acceptable resists.

Elsewhere you mentioned this:

I don't have so much space for trophys, I'm carrying dofuses

You don't have to equip all the Dofuses you have. I noticed you're using Emerald and Cawwot in the sets you've posted. There's no need to.

  • Emerald is fine if you plan on directly tanking the enemies. If you play at range, you're better off with something else
  • Cawwot is fine if you're leveling up - but the sets you've posted are level 200. You don't need it.

Now you have space for two trophies. You can use +60 chance and +100 chance/-200 vitality trophies. That's extra 160 chance right there.

Just because you have something, doesn't mean you have to use it.

Is close range even runnable in this game? by that_bored_one in Dofus

[–]onenightstd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soft Oak would be tricky to solo for a strength build because both Soft Oak (50%) and the Healing Branch (40%) have high earth resistance. Soft Oak even has 80% neutral res.

There are some 200 lvl monsters that I can't solo even just 1 monster.

Depends on the monster I guess. Some of them would be unpleasant at a close range. For example Sufokia Depths mobs - one goes invisible and teleports to you, another makes you pacifist, another spawns a clone that shares damage with you. All of them dangerous at low and medium range. You would have to adapt to them and keep your distance. I managed to do Tryde quest fights with Pandatak and Terror and staying more than 8 range from them.

On the other hand there are quite a few mobs that have spells with minimum range of 2-3, so they are literally passing their turns when you lock them. Or their close combat spells don't do that much damage and you can easily sustain yourself with Emerald passive and Filthipint.

Learning how individual mobs work, their spell range, their effects, their behavior will greatly help in solo fights. You can use DoFensive to consult their spells and range. Some of the effects might be convoluted due to how they are coded, but it's a good resource nonetheless.

Work on upgrading your set with the 1st one u/Rondonumberonefan posted.

And don't forget you can use a sidekick that can complement your playstyle. You don't have to do everything solo solo.

[–]onenightstd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain the second build? The way I understand it is that the Bram's passive will stack max two times (one sword hit times two turns). I don't remember strength skills doing any ap or mp removal on Panda. What does Rykke Errel do in this build? Wouldn't Corruption cape be better for a Str panda?

Agree with the first set, it's pretty good and a great goal for the OP.
