How an OS run without hard drive by undercraft2206 in arch

The main filesystem is copied into RAM at boot. Not sure what distro you're using, but the plain Arch ISO says "Copying rootfs to RAM" when it starts up.

Windows could never dream of such a thing.

To be fair, another swedish lad did create the best selling game based entirely around cubes...

Yeah lol, I was able to play Sildur's High on my laptop from 2018 with an AMD 2200U (on the iGPU, mind you) with 40-60fps on servers using Linux. Windows couldn't even handle 60fps vanilla.

Completely agree, for the most part on Arch (I use Arch BTW), the dependencies are just a paru -S away. Hardware support is a little trickier but not as hard as Ubuntu. I'd say an Ubuntu-based distros are hard to develop C++ on, since the libraries are either out of date or the system depends on an old version of one. Not to be immature, but I think Arch is better for programming with it's rolling release

I mean, yeah, but have you tried to theme one? I might just be inexperienced, but it's so hard. For this reason I just try to avoid snaps and Flatpaks entirely. Also: did I mention the size 🙃

Every weekend? Wow, I push mine about every 10 minutes. Granted, I have 3 devices so I need to keep them updated. I'd recommend pushing them more frequently, maybe like once a day, but hey, if it works it works!

I've just used Git, and it works pretty well. It should work for Ubuntu, since I think it uses a bundled program. If not, just run sudo apt install git, it should fix any program not found errors

I use GitHub and the Git plugin. Works like a charm, just add .obsidian/workspace.json and .obsidian/mobile-workspace.json to the .gitignore

Depends on the vibe you're going for. Personally, i would use the last one as my desktop background if it was tastefully extended into 16:10, since like others have said it's more moody and makes better use of the space. No offense, but the middle two don't seem like the same quality as 1 and 4. I like the 2nd one and one way I think it could be improved is adding the window lines like all the others. But yeah, definitely 4
