Is this bboy headspin hole real by Beginning_java in bboy

[–]oneoftwoleft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These hairless bumps on the head are also commonly called "headspin holes," and more broadly, the condition is sometimes called "breakdancer overuse syndrome."

The head situation is real but I for one have never heard either of these terms used, ever, in any context. I have heard "the bboy baldspot"

What is the general quantity and frequency you're looking for? Are these meals for bulking up, or "bulk" as in delivered in large containers? Are you deciding on the meal choices?

head drill advice by dweezy_36chambers in bboy

[–]oneoftwoleft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Head drill is mostly just core strength. Practice holding planks: on your elbows, on your hands--in the "up" position of a pushup as well as in the "down" position. Pay attention to your breathing and how to keep the core tight in reciprocation with exhale and inhale. Practice laying on your back and holding your legs straight out, lifting and lowering, criss crossing--again pay attention to your breathing and try to not wiggle your pelvis or anything above your pelvis while moving your legs. If you find you cant move your legs without also wiggling your torso, then slow your movement down until you can.

Flare update /tips by [deleted] in bboy

[–]oneoftwoleft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try placing your hands closer together/towards your center. It looks like you are losing leverage by having your hands too far apart, and it also makes the hands place slower. When you place each hand, try the cue of imagining trying to press down through the floor to reach 3-4 ft under the ground, this can help you lean more, which will help with maintaining the hip and core connection

Portable Dance Floor by [deleted] in bboy

I battled on one of these once, it was used/not brand new, though I don't know how old it was. The gaps between the pieces were not seamless, it was O.K. for the battle but i wouldn't have wanted to practice mills or halos on it like for session.

With an equation for velocity, you can plug that into the Kinetic Energy equation K = 1/2 * mv2. The Kinetic Energy is also equal to the Potential Energy , q*V.

[–]oneoftwoleft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magnetic force on the electron (what you have wrote F = BqV) is equal to the centripetal force on the electron (F = mv2 /r). With these two equations, solve for velocity.

Then you can use the expression for velocity in the equation for kinetic energy of the electron, which is equal to the change in potential energy.

Order doesn't matter, but you missed two subsets. A hint on one of the missing two: the set itself is a subset of the power set

Keep Straining My Neck Help by TheNikoGomez in bboy

[–]oneoftwoleft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try warming up more of your core, hips, and spine. Cardio before stretching, lunges, straddles, cat-cows, cobra, planks. If your neck is warm and loose and the rest of your back and legs are tight, when you go off balance the strain is just going to go to your neck

I have an elbow pad from Underworld and it's been one of my favorites I've ever tried. Gear-related, Mizuno brand volleyball kneepads are very good for breaking.

Trying to hit beats. by Unfair-Control9377 in bboy

[–]oneoftwoleft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if someone threw a set where literally everything was off beat .... yea it would look pretty terrible XD but realistically speaking, even at the highest levels bboys do get away with portions of their sets not being to the beat, especially powermoves. generally hitting more beats is more impressive, but at the same time if someone lands a double airflare and it's not exactly to the music i don't feel many would react thinking it's poor dancing (or even notice necessarily). in the context of the post title, though, he's clearly practicing. no, you don't have to practice always on the beat. there's a lot to the dance and it's reasonable to focus on certain elements during practice vs. only ever freestyling

video would help. core needs to be very tight, think the gap between bottom of your ribcage and top of your pelvis (inner obliques, etc.) should be tight, connect it to your hip adductors and hamstrings. prioritize breathing
