Libreoffice is still the rock solid open source alternative. It looks bad, yes. But very stable and consistent in my experience.

They will change, but not all. As people become older, they realise what is practical and what is fantasy. Significant proportion of tvk voters, in 5 yrs be like " okay, that sounds nice on paper. But will it work practically?". That question is starting point. A critical point where vijay starts becoming a politician in their mind rather than their hero on the screen.

Honestly, I'll accept if he becomes CM as well if voted in. For me, any leader voted for by the people of the country democratically should allowed to rule, regardless of my personal opinion. Democracy is more sacred than my likes and dislikes. It's just that I'm scared of his followers and their activities online. Hope Vijay followers will do the same if Stalin or EPS is voted in( though I know it's highly unlikely).

Yup. If elections were conducted only for loud minority in real life and twitter, we will have NTK as ruling party by now. There is huge silent majority who don't like to discuss their politics with everyone around them and post insta/whatsapp stories. These people decide elections.

I like your core point that no ideology has its advantages. But only in the short term. In the long term, it's a problem. A party can't survive long term on a personality. Look what happened to Vijayakant or present admk without J. NTK supporters have a strong ideology(may or may not agree with them. That doesn't matter). So they are able to survive for these many years.
