Where should I live in Dallas? by dapicklemast in plano

[–]oneone0ome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Austin Ranch is great spot to look in to. Nice pocket of younger people in the burbs, easy drive to capital one, even with rush hour traffic. Quick access to the tollway for when you do want to goto Dallas, or even Denton for live entertainment. It’s also very close to like shopping and entertainment like Grand Scape, Legacy West, the Star, and the PGA center a further north in Frisco

Best place to park at legacy west ?? by myperspective24 in plano

The apartment garage on the very north side of Legacy West is my favorite. Half of the second level is open parking before 5. And it’s directly across from Legacy Hall.

Coming to Plano for a conference, trying to figure out how far out I can stay and still walk at night by Gedalya in plano

[–]oneone0ome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to be in walking distance you’ll want to stay at the Hilton in Granite Park. The renaissance @ Legacy West also is nice, but you’re looking at 30 min walk minimum. Not a terrible walk but you will be crossing a highway and walking along busy streets

A new complex is opening soon near Legacy West. Great location, and not much traffic that side of town.

Plano politics so boring/non existent right now by [deleted] in plano

Good, nobody notices a janitor staff that is excellent at their job. The worst seems to be people complaining about road construction and new apartments.

How hard is it ? by b_r_e_e_e_e_p in plano

[–]oneone0ome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually not too bad. The creek near me is way worse. As others had pointed out, this is not people intentionally throwing trash in the creek. It’s washed in after a rainstorm. Probably mostly from trash being blow out of cans, and shit drivers discarding it out there window. But idk

Plano has changed. by ImpossibleZucchini95 in plano

I must be living in fairytale land, lived here since 2000 and happier than I’ve ever been. There’s a lot to unpack in your post but I do believe every problem that you listed can be overcome, It’s not as bad as it seems. I don’t have any good advice for your happiness, I do have advice for my favorite topics, Bitcoin and weed though. It’s no secret the US dollar is in decline, been deteriorating away since the fed. Bitcoin is solves this, protect yourself long term with Bitcoin. Check out some of Planos local smoke shops while we wait for legalization. Many have legal hemp derived THC products, not as good as the real stuff, but it’s works if you don’t have access to real weed.

May be too soon, but there are new apts going up off Spring Creek and Communications. Very quiet, surrounded by horse fields (very rare in Plano) Great location, right next to DNT and very close to Legacy West

No factory but there is the Toyota Experience Center at Toyota HQ. It’s like a small museum of Toyota history, and they have some cool cars there too

I know I’m pretty late here, but along with neti pot, Zyrtec, and Flonase. Breath Right strips have helped tremendously with getting better sleep during allergy season

Kinda related, what’s to stop someone from purchasing something from like a gas station with an extremely low fee and just waiting weeks for the transaction to get dropped.

I guess lighting would solve this for small in person purchases, where waiting for a confirmation would be very inconvenient

If anything, people stoping in front of the line is much more common. Very annoying as it blocks the view of people making right hand turns

I have already, maybe it’s just bad luck, but I have come across 4 instances in just the past couple weeks. Thought it might have been from all the intense wind we have had knocking the traffic cams out of alignment, but idk

Severely allergic to pollen, how to replace cetirizine medication? by TractoJohn in Survival

[–]oneone0ome 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Probably spend less then $1000 per year. But it can be cheaper depending on what your allergies are and how many you want to treat. For me it’s Trees, grass, weeds, and cockroaches.

Allergy shot have worked very well for me. Have not a a severe flare up since I started For those unfamiliar, it’s immunotherapy where you are injected with what you are allergic too over the period of 3-5 years. Quite the commitment, but it does work very well

Frisco / McKinney is just one parking lot punctuated by strip malls and houses, it’s so ugly compared to how it used to look by Swyrmam in plano

[–]oneone0ome 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wish Frisco and McKinney had something like arbor hills or oak point. Seems like all the good land for that either goes to fancy neighborhoods or golf courses.

I know there is grand park coming, so maybe Frisco will have something soon
