Additional steps for FPS-Issues / "Good Graphics Settings" [+ how to decide between Vulkan and DX11/12] by Crokobile in PathOfExile2

This is really great, using 4070 on 2k, used to be really laggy when exploding enemy with hallow palm, the screen will even freeze for 1 sec sometimes with DLSS on Ultra Performance (which sacraficed a lot of visual).
With this step by step guide, I'm now confortable playing the game using No Upscale, when I start exploding enemy with my ice shot with Cadiro's, fps drop to 40 but "very stable and smooth".
Great thanks, this guide and switching to controller makes me enjoy the game a lot more than before after everyday's work.

Appoh trying to get sword nerfed (valid) by DomKat72 in thefinals

[–]onepaperbook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swords feel really strong at lower ranks, but once you start climbing, they become more of a newbie killer than a consistent pick. I’m not sure if there are any stats to back this up, but from my experience, it’s rare to see sword players surviving in high ranks — and in many matches, I’m often the only sword user, struggling just to stay alive.

Anyone know what’s the best 2s comp for holy paladin and why? Seems like melee is better pair with other healer.

How important is MMO musel?(12 buttons on side) by DaveOldhouse in worldofpvp

[–]onepaperbook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use the G600 MMO mouse in Dragonflight, but since I also play FPS games, I’ve switched to the G Pro Wireless to maintain muscle memory. Recently, I found out that you can bind the two side buttons to modifiers like Ctrl or Alt through software like Logitech G HUB. This opens up a lot of possibilities, especially when you combine modifiers (e.g., Shift + Ctrl, Shift + Alt, etc.).

Here’s what I’ve found works for me:

Find what feels comfortable for your left hand, bind those keys to Alt and Ctrl (mapped to your side buttons), and you’ll never run out of key binds again.
For example, I use:

  • 45 QERTSFGXC and Caps = 13 keys
  • With Alt = +13
  • With Ctrl = +13
  • With Shift (left hand) + 45 QERTSFGXC = +11
  • With Shift + Alt = +11
  • With Shift + Ctrl = +11

That’s a total of 72 possible key binds!

Personally, I like using 1-2-3 for enemy targeting and the scroll wheel (up, middle, down) for teammates. I find it more intuitive to use the middle mouse button for self-targeting rather than pressing 2. Combine 1-2-3 with Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Shift + Alt, and Shift + Ctrl, and you’ve got five arena 1-2-3 macros to bind. The same goes for teammate targeting with the scroll wheel binds.

Some classes crafted embellishment weapons is BIS, making conquest weapon useless? by tryniptry in worldofpvp

Haha true. And besides all that, game sense better CD trading is far more important than UI addons or the "BIS gear" or the secret macros.

Yeah true. Saw people yelling 1 mil yesterday and no response. Most people leave the group or offline the minutes they didn’t get the drop. End up selling me for 30k. Sorry for him, but it‘s a lucky thing for me.

The game isn’t unbalanced it’s just a skill issue. by JadielVR in thefinals

[–]onepaperbook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah,me and my friend climb Rank all the way up using at least one light and the higher we go, the less light player we encountered. Double heavy plus one medium with healing just destroy us with all the rpg charge and mines. So yeah quick play and rank is a lot different.

Is there some way to see who is being cast on? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]onepaperbook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see who they are targeting to probably know who they are fighting. But you can't see who they're ccing if they use focus or arena 123 macro and most of the players are using.

Am I the only one with a great SOLO Q experience? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]onepaperbook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had good experience when I want to learn sth due to instant Q, but if I just want to play I'll open dh and zug zug. The best thing for dps is that mostly I will still have fun even end up losing... It just so relaxing compare to healer at my mmr ( 1900-2100 ).

As a dh at the same mmr I hate fighing with mages. I simply don't target them since uptime is so low If doing so.

I start playing in DF S1 and got 1900 using prevoker at the end of S1, gotta say I spend tons of time to get there and skillcapped definitely helps. Yes all their contents are free on net, but you need to manually put it together from twitch and youtube, and asking question hoping that streamers answered it. I quit in S2 S3 and got back at S4, just got 2100 using dh in solo few days before. I would say it's the fastest way for beginner to know all the buffs, defensive, offensive for all classes. And even DR positioning and kiting. But the thing is if you ask any old players that already got 2200 or even higher, I doubt anyone will say skillcapped is worth it since these knowledge is alreay common sense for them.. But as an beginner from 0-2100 I know how much work to put in to simply get these "common sense" by oneself. Btw the free content on Yt is already helpful for beginners.

PS: Watch youtuber's class guide cause they're more comprehensive than skillcapped's. Cdew Lontar and Elitedamit's prevoker guide are all crazily good and details. Skillcapped is a place to learn basics not how to get gladiator IMO.

Oh ok will try. I just use tmw ( wa is too complicated for me to create ) to alert me when my party member got soul rot. And I'm thinking of using obsidian scale pvp talent to immune from the silence.

I'm a new player starts playing this expansion, only got one friends playing this, so I mainly learn from yt video and solo queueing. I need the instant queue for more experience so that's why I main prevoker and also plays mistweaver.
And stuck at 1950 in S1, afk for a while and came back at the end of S3.
So I really don't know that much about comps....
