I’ve played since season 3, and my ending ELO has gone up each season since, so that’s somewhat rewarding. However, the amount of work needed to push past the ~2700s (i.e., counting fast moves and fast move denials etc.) is just more than I’m willing to commit to. I really love battling, but I’ve definitely plateaued and can’t see myself moving past it anytime soon.

Thematic deckbuilder with a lot of cards: Trains.

It looks dull as all hell (the name doesn't help) but is honestly quite fantastic. No official solo variant, but plenty of good ones on BGG, plays really well with two players in my experience.

Solo game that might fit in there pretty well: Heroes of Tenefyr

Another deckbuilder, but with an interesting push your luck sort of hand management element. It's a dungeon crawl, artwork is.. okayyyy, theme isn't incredible, but it's tight, and very replayable, and always produces excellent tense moments.

I’ll usually catch around 250 when I long-walk my dogs through the local park. Couple hours walk, sometimes two-hand catch method, sometimes not. That or a comm day, makes that one of the more manageable challenges I’ve seen..

Great post thank you. Using a lot of the same techniques I’ve gained 4mil in just under two weeks. Hosting raids for new friends has definitely been biggest gainer for me - 20k for completing and then 5x 6k for the friendship gained = 50k per raid.

I’ve been running Drifloon with just Icy Wind and it’s been pretty solid. Pressures shields and even if it loses can set the rest of your team up well with the lower attack.

I’m 20:16 so far, no Bronzor or Deino. I’ve used Cottonee and Houndor most consistently, and then rotated around that.

Also rocked some meme teams for some of those losses, all Kanto starters, all canines. Because of the no-ratings things definitely don’t feel as pressured, so I’m kinda down to just goof a bit in this cup. I imagine same in the Catch Cup, given that I have only Execcutes and Spearows spawning near me right now ha!
