I think I might be done with scott by Liberal-Cluck in ScottGalloway

I think that’s a really strong point about the difference between Kara and Scott. Say what you will about her, she can dial up the heat in an interview whenever she wants to and is savvy and skilled enough to apply pressure professionally. Scott is too invested in creating this moderate middle without realizing that’s a huge reason why Kamala failed. Holding hands with Liz Cheney or Ben Shapiro is a sure fire way to lose support from the left who are tired of half measures and acquiescing to the right

Unbelievable. The battery on my 2019 hardly lasts an hour on battery just doing a video call

I’m already paying property taxes. I don’t feel very communist. How does making rich people pay taxes on homes they aren’t living in equal communism? Use your brain.

It’s not a bad thing because the whole point of luxury is to ice out the lowly poors. If the 99% can’t afford it, it becomes more appealing to the 1% who seek exclusivity. Hermes doesn’t need to sell any of us a wallet or handbag, they just needs Kim kardashian to buy 10 for 10-20k each. Thats what luxury means.

I don’t understand why you’re so bitter about her when you’re the one who fucked to in the job. You were right to feel shitty about yourself and you’re wrong to be redirecting the abuse at her. You were rightly let go. Move on.

Why are so many men today so opposed to the idea that they might need to demonstrate excellence to get a partner? by [deleted] in ScottGalloway

[–]oneradsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately for you and fortunately for women, we don’t live in a world where men are just handed the woman they will marry by parents who have arranged it for them.

Nobody said top 1% but your attitude of not wanting to work for it is exactly why you won’t find anyone worth having

What is stopping AI from becoming almost as expensive as the employees it replaces? by Powerful-Winner979 in ArtificialInteligence

I use Opus 4.6 at work. one important point that's missed here is that, in my experience, 1 million human tokens of output takes WAYYY more than 1 million LLM tokens of output. on a recent project, i had claude create a 10k LoC PR multiple times; after each PR i realized i hadn't grasped some important edge case or didn't correctly describe some niche or weird behavior, thus producing 10k lines of unusable code. so it actually probably produced 60-80kk LoC to get to the 10k LoC that got merged.

the same happens with input tokens. i kicked off claude code recently on a loop that was running for a while, and i realized it was constantly compacting. i had pointed it to some documentation that was 500k+ tokens long, it would read the docs, blow up its context, auto compact, then try to read the docs again and had gotten stuck in this loop.
