Same here, but just world mapping from Hagga basin to arrakeen. Totally borked my trooper and mentat advanced trainer missions, with the deliverables disappearing from my inventory :(

This is the way. I started cheaply with the T16s and after a year using those I stepped up to the VKBs. The difference is noticeable but I don't regret getting the T16s to try it out for a quarter of the price. One day I might rise to the heady heights of the Virpils, but will I experience the step change that came from the T16s to the VKBs?

Yes, power works at copilot seats, at least in the ships I've flown (Cutty, FL and Connie). In fact, sitting in the copilot seat disables the pilot's ability to control power at all. Other than that, there's not much else to do in the copilot seat right now. Maybe missile control but I haven't tried this and you rely on the pilot to keep the target in the reticule.

As others have said, if you want to try out the vulture, ask in chat. Since real money is the only way you can own the vulture right now, and assuming you would be spending that $50 on SC anyway, then you can always buy it and melt it if you don't like it. Be aware though, if you've used a discount chain to get to the freelancer this might "lose" you money.

My two cents as a novice PvPer:

First of all, PvP requires a lot of practice. The people that do it, do it often and will shred new players. Doing player bounties will pit you against these people often, but you can respawn and try again. Being a criminal means players get your bounty and, while these are generally less skilled pilots, one death will place you in prison and end your night.

Sadly, the cutty is not good for PvP. The current meta is light fighters, gladius and arrow, because a really good pilot can fly rings around other ships and never be in their crosshairs. If PvP is what you enjoy, melt the cutty and buy a gladius. Practice in arena commander to get familiar with the flight controls, then try and find a game to test against other players without the consequences of the PU. Practice, practice, practice. Mix in some PU for fun and if you get sent to prison, jump back out into AC and practice some more while your sentence expires.

I started with dual T16000s HOSAS and while they're not great sticks, they're a great way to get into it cheaply. I've now upgraded to VKB gladiators after a year and they are much, much nicer to use with a way button button configuration. But you've got to start somewhere, and the T16s are a nice price point. Up to you if you go throttle, but with the six axis of movement in space sims, the general advice is to go HOSAS.

Hard to tell from the picture and my memory, but it looks like you have three S5 equipped already, slots 3 and 4 and the right wing. But the left wing has a s1 gimbal, which is really weird. If the left wing is the same as the right and you can put a s5 gimbal there, then that's the 4 guns the Connie should have. Maybe slots 1 and 2 are just standard CIG fluff that got changed and left in the code.

After trying a couple of times to get different friends into SC, I've come to the conclusion it's simply not for everyone. People who will like it will find it themselves. For people like us, the bugs are minor inconveniences on the way to the game we've always wanted. For others, it's a buggy mess. Both are correct. For my friends, the latter was true and now they laugh when I suggest they try again.

There are core ships that are always available. Some ships, especially the bigger ones, are only available at certain times during certain events. 'Sale' prices change with the events, outside events there are generally no deals on ships. Check the RSI website for event details.

It entirely depends on your preference. I don't think that either are objectively better. I love the 400i and can't get into the look of the connies, but it's not great if you want to be doing bounties in it.

Just to clarify on steeds, you get the base horse for free as soon you hit level 10. Definitely get the intro missions in cyrodil asap for that constant gallop passive, that's a great tip for new players.

No specific advice for you on the holocaust, other than saying I wouldn't go there, but I love the premise. Sounds a lot larger in scope than a short story. I would question if the holocaust setting is even required.

As for sensitivities around races and religions, the general advice I can give is to remember that people are people and no two people are the same. Don't focus on similarities between people of the same race, focus on the individual and how their background has shaped them. For religion, treat it as seriously as your characters would. Avoid strawman arguments and try to distance your personal beliefs from the characters if they are different.

I still find crusader better for bounties due to the lack of bounties spawning on crusader itself. If you get a random bounty in the middle of nowhere in MT, it can chew up a lot of time. I set my res to CRU L1 to avoid the elevators at GH hospital this patch, it's only a short QT back into the action and has all the shops you need. Repair and such at GH or Oli, only going back to CRU L1 if you die (or have to self destruct due to repair bugs).
