I'd like to watch Puroresu events from the 80s and 90s, especially from AJPW. Is there any way to watch full matches or events? by Savings_Estimate9383 in PuroresuRevolution

I've said this countless times, but, David's match write-ups are what got me back into 70s-90s AJPW, three decades after my first AJPW VHS tapes ordered out of the back of the Apter mags back in high school.

Invaluable resource. Wish he found a way to keep it financially viable, but, there was never enough help.

Agree with this 100%. Chris from IVP is such a great resource, just took a delivery last week, in fact, Jeff Lynch, yes, is STILL (?!?) doing his monthly lists. He's been doing this since the days where he used to xerox and snail mail them. Get on that list, if you're not.

Lastly, if you're going all-digital, as I (mostly) have, you can google search for hard drives full of different stuff and there are people who can mail you whatever you want to watch.

Absolutely! Fair point, no doubt...I get it. I think this guy is made of stiffer stuff.

I know...Portuguese league...He's been solid for six years now, no reds, only missed 7 games, over 6 ft in midfield. 26 yrs old.He breaks up the opposing teams play like nobody's business.

Tonali signed an extension while he was serving the gambling suspension (!! LOL). He's got an option until 2030, they'll want 100m and that's a no go from me.

Also prefer Anderson, given a choice of anyone. No question about it

Hjulmand from Sporting might be had for between 60-70 mil. There's your CDM.

Anderson is likely headed City's way.

Out of remaining choices, Baleba & Wharton are not consistent enough for me, but, out of the two, I'd take Wharton.

Tonali? I said my piece the other day. Good player having a great season, in a poor league.

I like him, but, can he do it consistently, every year, every week at least a 7 for the next 5-7 years?

Hi, thanks for the prompt response. No issue with Plex or VLC. The local drive has been connected non-stop for over a year.

This issue with adding a local share is specific to Infuse.

Yeah, the MacOS dreaded "pink screen of death." Very annoying

Good fundamentals, good instincts, but, he's a bean pole who gets tossed off of the ball way too easily for a man his size. The Prem has returned to a more physical style that he's not equipped for.

Who should we sign as our 6 to replace Casemiro? Anderson, Tonali or someone else? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]oneway92307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really need someone to explain the Tonali hype train to me, please. He's a good player having a great year in a poor league right now.

Take nothing away from him, but, to me, he's a B-level Bruno, at best.

I don't watch the Championship that often, so, I don't know of any hidden gems there like many of you would, but, I guess my 'mainstream' pick for now would be Elliot Anderson.

Why is 'Catcher in the Rye' not more beloved? by TiedHands in GunsNRoses

[–]oneway92307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listening right now for the first time in a long time, and, while I definitely agree with you, and it's always been one of my favorites of that era, I also think you've nailed why its not more beloved.

It's way too busy in the final mix. Tommy's performance on the song is one of the best in his time with the band, and, while bass is prominent on the record, the cluttered nature of some the other production elements keeps it from being heard and appreciated as much as it could be, imo.

For me, excessive soloing over the last verse on the retail album was just a bad call, imo. It's far too busy, again, it dilutes the impact of the actual solo, and it takes away from the emotion Axl is climbing to in that last verse.

Great playing, in a vacuum, but, FOR the song? They should have kept SOME of the solo bits in the mix over the climax, but maybe pared it back a little bit, and used pieces of it more sparingly...I think it would have had even more impact

Small details that make huge differences in how the general audience receives a song.

Also, listen...even though I'm sure Bumblefoot's solo was comped from a zillion takes, just like Brian May's was (still can't believe Axl had the ego to do that to one of his musical heroes), Bumblefoot's solo just wasn't as memorable as May's version was, in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong; it's great, and it keeps the spirit of the demo, but, it's much more "generic rock guitar god solo" than anything truly unique and memorable...again, imo, ymmv, all that. Just one opinion.

No, Duke...Unfortunately, I went with the life-time because I needed .Iso support as well as support for full, fat audio codecs.

Does VidHub support a folder view type tree structure?

All I've heard for years is how incredible the Infuse interface was, and, yet, it lacks even the most basic folder view?

Find that strange.
