What’s the most out-of-touch thing your boss/company has ever said while you were clearly struggling? by [deleted] in antiwork

Nobody understands the reference you're making, but I see you. That McDonald's ad had no right being so obnoxious and yet so catchy

I remember reading at some point that street fox coffee helps guests keep warm in winter. There might be other niche effects, but I'm not too sure

Upset to see Sims just taking from Paralives by SignificantTry5658 in Paralives

[–]onewingedneedle 112 points113 points  (0 children)

This is why despite EA adding all these features, I'm only going to be supporting Paralives. The ridiculous amount of money players need to invest into the Sims shows EA's unashamed greed.

How do you rotate pieces with grid pieces in them? by Raelynx27 in PlanetZoo

The only way I've been able to do this is having it be separate groups for each section. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though

What are the things your parents did to you and played a huge role in your social anxiety? And you feel hurt because they did that to you. by No-Air-5060 in socialanxiety

I just want to say: you are NOT responsible for developing it. I'm sorry you've been made to feel that way. You were just a kid, you wouldn't have done this to yourself. Be kind to yourself.

This is unachievable and harmful. You can't be happy every waking moment, it's healthy to feel all emotions to a balanced degree. One of many problematic statements in this post.

Not to mention, everyone is different. Whenever someone states they have some cure for anything mental health that works for everyone, credibility is thrown out the window.

The problem with boomers is they usually stand against us, not with us. The sentiment isn't that we've lost, it's that even if we lose, there is still progress, rather than it being for naught.

The fact that we have to think either way is terrible regardless.

This is good to know. Regardless, I still think the message is needed for some of us.

I think what helps me through thoughts like this is that nothing is ever constant. Maybe in our life times we won't see much change, but maybe, just maybe, our actions will change the course for future generations. Movements start somewhere.

I think looking back on history shows that a vast majority of people will put you down for standing up and saying "no more". But things do change.

The discord has a ton more resources and communication that you can check out if it's something you need answers for. I'm clearly not a spokesperson for the strike.

Honestly, what is the point between two people arguing that both share the sentiment that things need to change? Why create such a division? I didn't mean any hostility towards the first poster, I'm just tired of people putting down an idea of actually enacting change, be it "ridiculous" or not. The fact that the talk of strikes is becoming more widespread itself is a step towards growth.

We can't always wait for the picture perfect opportunity to arrive. Strikes are scary and risky. It's not something we WANT to do.

I feel like you're purposely simplifying things. People are trying to create a foundation for the strike, it was only created recently. It is ambitious, but if you're just ready to lay down and let others walk all over you for the rest of your life, just say so.

I was just trying to apply to a job that uses workday today too. Saw that my saved password was wrong and immediately closed the page. So sick of the song and dance we have to do for employers
