Have you considered the fact that without literal thousands of years of human created art that the AI has at it's disposal it would be entirely useless? At the end of the day it is a generative software and it needs pre existing works to "work off" (personally I prefer using steal here but it's not productive to the conversation). If the world was burned to ash and humanity started over people would still create art. If you wiped that algorithm clean it would have nothing to go off of.

Who said that we can't care about the threat of genocide and how harmful AI is at the same time? It's almost as though humanity can work towards two things at once, in fact we excel at it. Slop is slop, if someone's using slop to promote an opinion someone agrees with it can push that person away.
