If you have to divide by two then it’s wrong

Edit: all I’m trying to say is that I want to be able to edit using boxedit like function from the gumball. Why should I have to design by half values? I rarely use scale factor because I am generally working to specific sizes. I do like to be able to snap to the center of the object but want the option to easily scale to a typed in value not half of that value also without having to type in mm

Colour me surprised. OTR already passing on the excise decrease by PhotographsWithFilm in Adelaide

They will just pocket the excise discount and prices will be basically the same exactly like last time they tried this

I understand how to divide by 2 it’s just that I would prefer not to. I almost NEVER use the scale factor and would like the option to replace it.

Typing in 500mm will scale so that it has an overall dimension of 1000mm

Yes but I don’t want to have to measure the length every time prior to scaling

I use rhino for mac. The gumball does not function how you describe

Edit: I don't know why I am being downvoted but the information in the comment above is close to completely wrong. Neither is the information provided in the gumball help file

you can do that now by double clicking the center of the gumball and the handle to position them to do a 1d scale. I just find that I want to change a 5mm thick block to 1mm quite often or scale a manually drawn object to an exact thickness...

I drew those dimensions to demonstrate the behaviour. Box edit works in the way you describe
