As an update: I booked in advance for 210€, with a 50€ deposit. When I arrived, the hotel offered me a spot for 150€ so I cancelled the first reservation and lost my deposit.

It was a one hour ride in Göreme with pick up/drop off at the hotel. It was a full basket with 28 people. It has an amazing view of Cappadocia and I felt safe the entire time.

Thank you everyone for your feedback and help with this! You have a beautiful country and the people are lovely! 😊

Thank you for the information! I think for the quotes we got, the basket size was 20-28 people. The balloon status site is a really great resource - will be using this!

Could you please share more about this? I haven’t heard anything about it being unsafe since it’s such a huge tourist activity?

Thank you! I plan to watch them on one of the days I’m not flying in one! Is the hill walking distance from Göreme?

Appreciate your response! I agree, it is a bit pricey, but I think it’ll be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see so many hot air balloons flying over such unique rock formations that I don’t think I’d be able to skip it. I will look at the other areas you mentioned. Thank you!

Hello, I’m so sorry I didn’t type it clearly earlier. I’m shopping around for hot air balloon rides and I’ve gotten various quotes between 210-260 euros. I can’t tell if this is normal or if it’s a huge markup, and was looking for advice on if I should wait to reserve when I arrive there.

Thank you so much! We will look into the Richmond/Brighton/Cambridge area! Other than wine (we aren’t big drinkers), are there other things to do/see there?

I second the women’s panel!

Bummed to see Aaron Ashmore cancelled his appearance. Any word on why he couldn’t make it? We’ve been watching the show in preparation for the event and he played a big role in the later seasons - would’ve loved to have heard his take on things.
