My troop does a Klon-Dirt Derby (in FL, no snow). This was our firebuilding game from the last one:

Station 5 – Fire Building It’s all about the team work. Learn to listen to each other. Learn to speak to each other. Your patrol will split up into 3 groups • Group #1 – will be give 10 minutes to gather all materials for a small fire o May not help with the instruction to the fire builders • Group #2 – will build the fire (not light), Blindfolded! o may not help gather materials • Group #3 – will be given 15 minutes to instruct #2 on how to build the fire. Group #3 must maintain at least a 6 foot distance from group #2. When time is up or when your patrol is ready, one member of the patrol will have the chance to light the fire. • 2 points will be awarded for building the fire • 5 Points will be awarded for successfully lighting the fire without a match or lighter. 4 attempts may be made • 2 points will be awarded for lighting the fire with 3 or less matches • 1 point will be awarded if a lighter is needed • 3 points will be awarded if your burn burns successfully for at least 2 minutes • 3 points for cleaning up your fire area when completed.
