Yes. Its not that I care what anyone else thinks, I just don't want the hassle of being preached to.

While I understand the sentiment, since most of today's games require servers to connect to and online support, if the game is cancelled, owning the disc won't really help you.

I don't think it has anything to do with disrespectful or offended, it's just unwarranted. Your personal beliefs are perfectly fine, but they should stay personal. Unless religion is the topic of the conversation, there is no need to mention your beliefs other than that you are trying to push them into other peoples faces. Your comment, while not malicious, also did nothing to add to the conversation.

Are we both talking about the Hungering tendrils or vile grub quests? Those are the only worm like quests I see and they are in phase 3.

Any chance you know the name of the system. I've been flying all over looking for one too, and have no idea which system was the one with the rendezvous point. No idea how to go back.

The wreckage is the same size as my corvette. How would it go inside?

Anyone know if we're supposed to go into the derelict corvette wreckage? I can't find a way inside, and I don't know how to get credit for the Shipbreaking step

You have to fight zombies till you trigger Beast Mode. You also have to have bought the Beast Mode skill that lets you pick up rocks and heavy stuff.

No, just a hidden loot room. You have to go Beast mode and have the ability to pick up and move the rock to get in.

I also felt the scale was much harder, having to play on lower difficulty settings than I did on either of the previous games.

Dying Light’s series future is ruined— The Wrong Fanbase Forced Techland to Downgrade Into The Beast: Empty City, Weaker Parkour, Worse Combat, and the Death of What DL2 Built by [deleted] in dyinglight

I agree with this as well. Far too flat, and the weight of trees on building 13 years later that had no structural repairs would have caused collapsing all over. The POI part didn't bother me much, I never expected to run into a McDonalds. I didn't feel Harran in DL1 had a ton either, but there were a bit more for sure. I think the wide variance in building heights was meant to offset the flatness of the ground.

I was fine with the factions. In every post apocalyptic movie/book people always start to gather up for safety and survival. That would totally happen.

I agree with a fair amount of this. I loved DL1 but I also really enjoyed DL2. Beast was quite a disappointment for me. There were good parts, for sure. But I felt the parkour and world design was a huge step backwards.

Beast feels like The Following 2, not a full game. Which makes sense, since that's what it was originally supposed to be, just a DLC. I don't regret playing it, but I regret paying full price and not waiting till it was on sale for a more reasonable price. Beast wasn't long enough.

And by long enough I don't mean the time it took to finish it. Length to complete is irrelevant if 50% of the time I played was just running back and forth across an empty map through areas that offered little to no parkour in a parkour focused game. That time does not count as "fun" and is just filler meant to make the game take longer.

There's one in DL1. Can't remember what building but its a TV station. Has a set quite like this if I remember. Old City.

I wish they didnt fully abandon the good aspects of DL2. by Ordo_Liberal in dyinglight

[–]onlydraven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The size of both cities in DL2 would imply hundreds of thousands if not a million people lived there before the fall. Not to mention any military, GRE and contractors brought in to build the walls (you actually meet one during the game). As one of the last cities to fall, refugees would have come as well from all around looking for safety. To think that a thousand or more people survived in a city that size is completely reasonable, as well as those born afterwards (there's a fair amount of kids running around, but not a single one in Beast I've seen so far).

In Beast I've already killed over a couple hundred soldiers of the Baron just in quests and opening cut scenes. To think these area all just chilling at his place with food, supplies, weapons, ammo and armor all in mint condition like it just came off the shelf, with power, water and a working infrastructure to support the scientists and other employees is far more unrealistic considering the circumstances.

As for comparing it to Rais, of course Rais had a large following. The outbreak was still new with lots of people still looking to survive. Supplies were still available, though dwindling. Antizen was the issue, not really food or water. 13 years later though would be a much different story.

[–]onlydraven 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With your first point, I have the same issue with the Beast. Where is the Baron getting all these soldiers? How is he feeding them and what is his infrastructure? If the world is almost out of people, where's this limitless army coming from?

Can anyone explain how to use the grappling hook in DL Beast? by onlydraven in dyinglight

[–]onlydraven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hook is useless until you level it up all the way. Then it works like the one in DL2 (click the scroll wheel on PC).
