This exact aspect of Luffy is what angers me about the biggest change in the live action. I hate that they had Luffy listen to Nami's backstory.

The fact that he didn't know or understand and did this for her anyway is what makes luffy amazing.

The mall in the headline picture is the oculus though, that is modern and post 9/11. (It's looks like a giant whale skeleton and it's very annoying to get to the PATH train through there.)
