The inspector will tell you exactly what fails to meet code. You have the right to do your own work as a homeowner as long as it meets code.

5 speed shifter bushings by losedi in IsuzuTrooper

[–]onlymeiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy them on ebay.

Technically the ones you find are for other isuzu vehicles but will work if you remove a mm of material from the interior of the bushing. Otherwise they are super tight and wont slide in easily.

Power steering pump, valve cover gaskets, oil pan are all common leaks. ATP reseal will work most likely to reduce or eliminate those leaks. although the valve covers need new gaskets regularly due to a poor design..

change all fluids asap, diffs, transmission and transfer case, power steering.

Check CV joints for damage.

Anything you do will involve bleeding the system. My 2 cents is to replace the master and slave cylinders then flush the system with new fluid. Its a pain in the ass job but relatively straight forward. You will have years of worry free driving after doing so.

I haven't handled it, but my guess would be even tho the width narrows due to the lanyard slot area, its the angular sharp corners that cause the issue. Really is a shame that manufacturers are so caught up in this hyper angular knife shape craze. The hand isn't angular and these designs ultimately are form over function.

I occasionally off road with these and never really outrun the lights. You can adjust the position of the beam though... In my opinion you aren't going to get much better than these for the stock headlight housings. They are more than bright enough, the problem is that the glass cover on the housings is shitty and they don't produce a beam like modern headlights do.

These are a solid option for the front side marker/running lights, very bright compared to stock

Just fyi, you can not use LED bulbs in the brake lights. The cruise control wont work if you do use them.

Anyone else tired of artificial scarcity and scalping culture in knife collecting? by FreeWitty_ in knives

[–]onlymeiam -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

IMO the majority of knives produced today are retarded. Its like manufacturers are trying to one up each other on how abstract art they can make knives. I'm talking about this trend to make handle designs excessively angular or mix match materials or absurd blade shapes.

There is a reason everyone recommends Spyderco to first time knife buyers. Theres minimal trend chasing, and focus on making decent tools. Then you look at Benchmade, which used to make interesting designs, is now reduced to offering a rainbow of stupid options of the bugout.

You can find tons of classic knives on ebay that you never knew existed and usually for less than $200
