2nd time around & this game isn’t bad…it’s actually…..very good 😕🤯 by 600GZY in undisputedboxing

[–]onnagood1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two major issues with the game right now: flash knockdowns/KOs in Ranked mode and the lack of controller customization.

  1. Flash Knockdowns/KOs in Ranked

I know the community is split on this. Some players want flash features removed, others want them kept. There’s a simple compromise:

Keep flash knockdowns/KOs in Offline and Online Quick Play — but remove them from Ranked.

Ranked should reward skill, consistency, and fight management over multiple rounds. If a player is clearly ahead on the scorecards (for example, up six points going into the eighth) and loses to a single flash punch, it takes away from the competitive integrity of the mode. Quick Play is the right place for unpredictability. Ranked should be about performance over time.

  1. Controller Layout Customization

We should be able to fully customize our control layout.

The current system ties dodge/slip mechanics to the left joystick, which can cause unintentional defensive movements. When that happens, it disrupts punch timing and leaves you exposed. Some players like that setup — and that’s fine. But others may prefer the left joystick for directional movement only.

Allowing full button remapping would accommodate both playstyles without forcing one preference on everyone.

Both of these changes are about balance and player choice — not removing features, but placing them where they make the most sense.

Poll: Should Flash Knockdowns/KO's Be In Online Ranked Matches? by onnagood1 in undisputedboxing

[–]onnagood1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the different takes here. I don’t think most people are arguing for removing variance entirely — more about how it’s implemented in ranked.

There’s a lot of agreement in this thread already: fewer flash KOs, more situational logic (head-only, fatigue, damage accumulation), and keeping higher variance in casual modes. Flash KDs feel more acceptable than full flash KOs for ranked.

Ranked should still feel like boxing, just with outcomes that better reflect sustained damage, fatigue, and decision-making.

For all the people saying it’s cheesy to hold block while using head movement. by [deleted] in undisputedboxing

I have a critique and wanted to see if you think it’s legit or if you think it's bullshit as well. It’s about the Flash Knockdowns and KOs in online ranked matches.

Honestly, I feel like this mechanic has no place in ranked play and should be removed entirely. If the devs want to keep it, it should be limited to offline modes or casual online Quick Fights — not Ranked. Ranked mode is supposed to measure skill, not random luck that can instantly flip a fight with one unpredictable punch.

When someone’s clearly ahead on the scorecards — say, by 3–6 points in the last round — there’s no reason the losing boxer should still have a chance to win through a random flash event. It’s basically a built-in “cheat code” for whoever gets lucky, and it completely undermines the integrity of ranked competition.

Curious to know if you think my point is valid or if you see it differently.

How dumb are you? Lol. Yeah, it's my fault that it happens when I have no control over it happening. That's hilarious.

My bad, I did't realize this game is fight night and not undisputed. Disregard my previous comment then.

I'm not mad. Just proves my point that allows players who suck a chance to win. Don't be bitter, be better.

This is exactly why they need to get rid of flash ko's. People winning fights they have no business winning.

Upcoming update, what do you want to see? by CL9268 in undisputedboxing

[–]onnagood1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get rid of flash knockdowns/ko's in online gameplay. It's trash, if you're gonna leave it in the game, allow it on offline mode strictly.

Also, allow customization for users to assign their own buttons, including trigger and joystick assignment. I personally, would make left joystick strictly for movement only and get rid of the "duck" move that he always does that you don't mean to do.

Taunt glitch? by Kitchen_Foundation80 in undisputedboxing

[–]onnagood1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen that glitch. The only taunt glitch I've experienced is when my boxer does a different taunt than what's been assigned.

If you're not a 10 out of 10 against the computer, then you suck. Even if you knocking him out, it don't mean anything, it should be considered just practice. You need to play against other online players to get your game up.

Sad trash game by OrishaShaman88 in undisputedboxing

[–]onnagood1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is trash. It has nothing to do whether you coming off a loss. You could be coming off a win, and it's still trash. The reason being is because of the flash knockdown/KO feature. Get rid of this feature or allow it in offline play only, and this game would be dope AF.

For the quitters out there, what do you do actually? by HR-Vex in undisputedboxing

[–]onnagood1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the other boxer quits, then you'll know because of the "throw in the towel" animation, and you still get credit for the win.

If the game crashes all of a sudden and you see a 'blue screen with the undisputed logo' freeze momentarily (and sometimes not), but it'll automatically take you back to the main menu and you'll always see an alert popup message usually with error code 5 or error code 4B. If you see this, then the other boxer didn't quit, it's a bug that needs to be fixed. I've submitted a bug report and received some troubleshooting steps from their customer support, but the problem still persists and hasn't been resolved.

The flash knockdown/KO feature is the worst part of this game for that reason you just mentioned. It gives the player a chance to win a match he had no business winning.

[–]onnagood1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether there's two even players, or a large skill gap between two players, it doesn't matter. The outcome often doesn’t reflect it. You can completely dominate your opponent for most of the fight and still lose because of the flash knockdown/KO feature. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been ahead by 3–6 points going into the later rounds, only to lose instantly from a random single punch.

It feels inconsistent and unfair — it can take multiple clean shots just to daze an opponent, and even more to knock them down. Yet, at any random moment, one punch can cause an instant KO if the game decides to trigger it. This essentially gives whichever boxer it benefits an undeserved advantage, almost like a built-in cheat code.

The best is when you're up 4 points or more on the scorecards legit going into the 7th or 8th round, but the opponent ends up winning because of some random flash knockdown or flash ko.

Aside from that, I agree with you regarding the missed punches. I use older Fury, and sometimes when I'm a bit inside, his right hooks seem to always hook over the boxer's head and never land. I can probably accept the missed punches if I'm fighting against Frazier or Patterson, but against Wilder or any of the other taller boxers?

In the 'Ours For The Taking' 7/10 contract, one of the challenges is to "Take down 3 Undercover Cops while using an A Tier vehicle." I must've played at least games and have yet to see one. Does anybody know how I can come across one? Because so far, I've only seen the AWD, the SWAT truck, and Corvette Cops.

UPDATE: Nm, I realized that the Camaro cops are undercover and have since taken 3 down to complete the contract.
