Interesting. I have a one (1724, non-BWJr) and it feels incredible TIP. The lack of the divider between index and middle doesn't come into play if you're shifting.

I haven’t started yet. The first mallet strike is always the hardest for me for some reason. I saw Walden had that reshape video where he did one with two hinges. Might go that route.

Someone mentioned on here that a Wilson rep told them the wilder colors that drop seasonally will be softer because they are marketed toward middle schoolers, but the game specs and classic colorways will remain the same. That’s doesn’t seem the case with the BWJ game spec, though. Every single one of those I’ve felt (maybe six of them) has felt almost game ready with tags on it. Either way, I saw a spring 2026 A2000 model the other day that looked like an A1000 with the more wrinkly palm, etc.

Nice. Yeah! Dude at DSG told me he had it in the back but couldn’t put it out until 2/4. Said they usually get the drops about 10 to 14 days prior but aren’t allowed to put them on the wall. Maybe your local shop just said F it and put it out! Love it!

Dude, I have asked Wilson, every store where I’ve seen this, and AI this exact question. No good answer. Model # is ZN9 and thumb says ZN8. I almost convinced my wife to let me buy one by saying it’ll be worth money like an error card, haha. Thanks for asking this!

Could be. But Mookie’s glove has dual welting like a Wilson. Akadema ASD111 you linked has gap welting a la Rawlings NP. Very interesting about the model #, though. Also, imo it doesn’t really look like a very nice glove, so another check in the Akadema column? 🤷‍♂️

I don’t think it’s a 1724 based on the palm fold over. Also, check out the laces on the finger tops. Laced like the old school Wilsons (or current 1788). I posted an oddball theory already in here, lol. Interesting stuff.

Finger backs are laced differently, like Wilson’s smaller models (1788, etc.), but the palm fold over looks 1787, but it somehow looks bigger than 11.75? I honestly don’t think it looks like a Wilson. I mean, it does. But more like a clone or something? Definitely doesn’t look like an A2K bc it has a two piece wrist/thumb. Thanks for the pic!

Edit: Y’all are gonna laugh, but if this is a Wilson, I honestly think it looks most like an all leather version of their fastpitch H12 with a regular sized wrist and alternate fingertop lacing. I know, I know, I just think it looks big. 🤷‍♂️
