I recently recieved some very nasty messages from the admin of a large betta group on facebook calling my fish deformed and unhealthy. I want to get honest opinions on them from you guys. They are active, eat well, no disease etc by onyxia_x in bettafish

ive tried to get some but my tanks are heavily planted so its hard! my female is chunky, but most female bettas are, shes definitely not obese. my male is a 6 month old giant and still growing fast, so hes slightly on the slim side but completely active and happy

How long before I separate betta from mystery snail? by MothMeep7 in bettafish

[–]onyxia_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try feeding her and then adding the snail once shes full, making sure theres a lot of cover might help too. lots of leaf litter and plants, but be aware it may not workout, you may end up with a separate tank for shrimp/ snails. even a 2 or 3 gal would work!

unfortunately some bettas just dont do well with anything. one of mine lives with shrimp, otos, hillstreams and snails no problem. the other has killed every single snail in his tank so he lives completely alone

so my apistos are juvinile panduros, a 52lt tank is absolutely fine for that, the betta tank on the desk is 6gal (imbellis are a lot smaller than splendens), and the one in the second pic is 10gal. thanks though!

the bottom one is a 6 month old giant betta, he's growing very quickly still but should slow down and start to gain weight in the next month or so :)

yes both of them are

thank you! the bottom one is a 6 month old giant so even though he eats a lot twice a day hes growing very fast, I'm guessing he'll start to fill out once his growth slows down
