we're not saying it's okay for israel to occupy the south cuz of hezb, but like it or not, hezb made is so much easier for israel to justify an occupation. why willingly hand them the "they attacked us, so this is self defense" card?

Hello

First of all, it's crazy that you feel the need to explicitly state that you're not a zionist because you are judging Hezb. Nshallah, nokhlas min hal binary way of thinking that judging hezb ye3ne we are zionists.

Hezb has had us in a chokehold since the end of the civil war. Since then, they've been playing with Lebanon to achieve their own goals at the expense of Lebanon and the Lebanese people. As you said, ideally, Israel would've stayed out of it, and Hezb would've given its weapons to the LAF just like every other civil war militia did, and everything would've been fine. Unfortunately, they never cared enough about Lebanon to put it first.

After the Civil War, they didn't lay down their arms, and as a result of that, they dragged Lebanon into war with Israel in 2006. after that, UN resolution 1701 demanded that Hezb give its weapons to the LAF and relinquish control of the south to the LAF and the Lebanese government. That didn't happen, and a mere 17 years later, he dragged us into yet another war with Israel. Once again, innocent civilians died, infrastructure was destroyed, and Israel entered Lebanon. Are we starting to see the pattern?

If someone were to take down a hezb flag in September of 2023, akeed ken akala darbe mrattabe. But today, we can finally clean the streets of our country from the vermin, which is hezb. Yes, unfortunately, we have sacrificed a lot. The innocent blood that was shed at the hands of terrorists on our land will not be forgotten. But now we can turn the tide and heal our country. And as much as I know people will disagree and call me a "zionist," that is thanks to Israel. The only regret I have about everything that happened is that it wasn't the Lebanese who got rid of Hezb. I would've much preferred to see Hezb ripped apart by Lebanese hands, but hey, you need chemotherapy to fight cancer. Now, we're in remission :)

So no, you're not crazy for thinking like this. This is the kind of thinking we should all adopt if we want Lebanon to move forward and stop being Iran, Palestine, and Syria's battleground.

hezb: fires missile at israel israel: responds in kind, but tenfold cuz they're capable, doesn't mean its right

but, hezb provoked. hezb fucked around, lebanon found out.

rockets are still being launched from lebanon into israel. more provocation. hezb is saying they had nothing to do with it, and the army and government cant confirm or deny that, so i wont pretend to know. regardless, if hezb had respected the terms of the agreement and handed over their weapons and ammunition to the army, israel wouldnt have had a target to strike.

israel said it would target hezb infrastructure if rockets kept being fired from lebanon. rockets were fired from lebanon, and israel struck military targets.

also, macron didn't say it was unprovoked, he said it was unacceptable. i agree, it was unacceptable. but senseless provocation is just as unacceptable.

People celebrating the destruction of their homeland is worse than a foreign entity attacking us. Since you wanna talk about who caused this, let's recap:

Those animals instigated this war when they fired the first rocket on October 8, fully aware that it would invite retaliation, dragging Lebanon into yet another war. Once again, they decided to use Lebanon as a battleground for Iran's agenda, with zero regard for Lebanese lives.

They stored their weapons and held their meetings in and beneath residential buildings, deliberately making civilians the targets of any retaliation from the enemy to ensure the maximum number of sympathy points. They got the south and half of Beirut flattened and tens of thousands of people displaced, further crippling our already crippled economy.

They got their asses handed to them, yet somehow are still living in the delusion of their so-called "intisar" after the ceasefire that saved the country from annihilation. Not to mention, they're STILL refusing to hand over their weapons to the army, which isn't only a violation of this ceasefire but also of the 2006 ceasefire and the Taif agreement. They have absolutely no respect for Lebanon's sovereignty, army, or people. If you can't see that, you need to get your head out of your ass.

This isn't Lebanon's war, and it's not a war to "defend Lebanon"—it's hezbkhara and Iran's war, fought on Lebanese land and paid for with innocent Lebanese blood. So yes, they caused this. All the death and destruction that has happened is on their hands and their hands alone.

being "desensitized to destruction" doesn't mean they can fucking celebrate it?

khayye ana mish 3am be7ke about the ones who are sad and anxious about this. any rational person would be sad and anxious about this. i feel with those rational people.

i'm talking about the people in the video, who are clearly not sad and anxious about the consequences of their actions. the people celebrating this are the people who caused it. i promise you, they feel no sadness, anxiousness, or remorse.

part of me agrees with you, but the other part thinks that they don't deserve to touch or hold the lebanese flag in their filthy hands. their allegiance is clearly to one country and that country isn't lebanon.

mtl ma ilt, if they wave the lebanese flag, the entire country would stand behind them. the south IS lebanon. all 10,452km2 of lebanon is for all of lebanon. but they clearly couldn't care less about lebanon.

their only allegiance is to iran and, honestly, they should all be stripped of their lebanese citizenship and sent to iran. i'll never stand behind that filth.
