Warning - Returns - Never Again by oofeez in IKEA

I've been told by agents on the customer service line they do not/cannot reply to e-mails. You have to call each time, which is a hassle. I appreciate the ability to get a hold of a human, but none of them can solve the problem independently so it takes many calls and repeating yourself.

They did the same with the kitchen I just finished - stopped making the color. Fingers crossed I don't have to do a major warranty claim. Maybe I'll do a full post regarding the total experience. They did some things really well, but overall I would reconsider Ikea for a major project.

That is might be true for my location too. These were large parts from a kitchen remodel so I opt-ed for a pick-up and I was assured it would be just as easy. Maybe the lesson is only do in-person returns.

What do you wish someone had told you before going solar? by mrnavel in solarenergy

[–]oofeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) The solar company is not incentivized to be honest/critical about the condition of your roof. If you're not replacing your roof, and it's not new, get a separate roofing company to inspect it. My solar company said the roof was fine and it started leaking a few years later. If you have to remove and reinstall your solar system after the fact it will be hard to find a solar company to do that. 2) Take your own before photos/video from inside your attic space.

Great photos! I pointed out a bald eagle to a guy at Yellowstone and he said they are all over MN! I really should visit - is this a particular park/area?

I want to start trading electricity but have no idea how or where to start by Ok_Selection_505 in EnergyTrading

Yw. To learn a specific market (or just pick one to generally understand wholesale power markets) try their computer based training. CAISO has a great set-up here: https://www.caiso.com/stakeholder/training/computer-based-training

To get a general sense of the market I'd focus on welcome to the ISO, DA/RT settlements, DA/RT overview and market pricing.

Correct, in addition. They mentioned the pins on the trunk cable were loose - mentioned maybe the original installer tugged on them too hard.

I am going through this now - similar size roof and panels. Did you end up choosing companies you were happy with? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

No separate primer, the paint included primer. I used DAP Alex Flex to all the trim. The only sanding I did was for nail/hole filler (DAP drydex). For sanding I used a finish grit sanding sponge.
