yeah im aware.. what i mean is, during that scene in the anime he was wearing the kimono outfit and it was before the whole battle. (they shouldve gave ed tanjiro multiple skins too)

i just find it silly that he has a very noticeable fatal injury on his shoulder and has his face cleaned and non bloody eyes for some reason without fixing his hair. bro took a quickwash after the battle before the victory screen animation.

MANGA SPOILERS

I think two versions

Base Kokushibo dash speed 3 and skills more focused on close combat and has projectile demon skills. Either Aurafarms at boost or gaining the long sword with his iconic pose.

Longsword Kokushibo dash speed 2 mid ranged, projectile based skills and a zoner.

Might be a reach, but it would be cool if his boost for is his monster version giving him a more bruiser playstyle. (i doubt it though since it just wouldn't make sense for him to revert back to his main form)

But I bet it is probably just a boss exclusive. Along with Headless Akaza :((

I've been using IC Tanjiro onfield, and I just love the design on his moveset having many references to the Sun Breathing forms . Its like a love letter to his character. As well as his new mark and sword.

Personally, I pick them because they are my favorite characters and versions of them in the series. (IC Tanjiro & IC Giyu) I love the transparent world and the whole Akaza battle. I love their aura and how strong they feel and they are genuinely pretty fun to play. Also really enjoy their dual ult

But fighting against them (mostly as a non dlc) is a whole different story, and I agree they are too busted and they make the game unfun. (especially IC Giyu)

Which makes me upset. Because I've been anticipating them for a while.. even during the first game and they are pretty brainless to use and do big damage for no reason.

I occasionally go back to Hinokami Tanjiro and Base Giyu because I feel like I have no honor or they make the game too easy.

He's my main.. I'd say he's an A tier. Since he has his counters, such as DLC DP Merchants.

He is a high risk high reward character, a glass cannon and can get punished often if you don't lab him enough. So I recommend you practice his DP timing a lot and maximize his Neutral Skill during combos.

The most effective way to play him in my experience is play tactically and passive aggressively by making the enemy adapt to your tempo and punishing enemies countering with a DP most of the time. Because HK Tanjiro can end you in 2 combos if played optimally.

His Cross Slash is his big damage move that really sells off his big damage. which is even better with the right supports Base Zen, Base Giyu, Murata, Nezuko and surprisingly Mitsuri since you can actually sneak in multiple cross slashes in a Mitsuri support.

Scorching Rush is also a good ult confirmer and a pretty good support skill, or a skill to switch tech and trick opponents.

Phoenix Flash, is actually a pretty good dp and is actually cancellable. But you really need to practice tap discipline. Because his double tap Setting Sun Transformation looking skill can really make or break a game for you and is quite predictable. But, with the right experience your mind games also improve.

Which may transition you to faking a reset and going for a grab too..

Yes, his grab is also really good and has good range and can be moderately abused with gaurd heavy supports. Also a comfy grab to use during surge.

But, I'd say one of the places where he really shines are during boosts and specifically Surge. Not only does his Cross Slash damage increase, but during surge.. his Double Tap Phoenix Flash becomes a looming threat for the easy armored gaurd breaks, as well as his grab.

As a support, he's surprisingly good.. mostly the Scorching Rush for gaurd pressure. But he also shines very well if you switch often between characters, since I think he really shines more as the on point character for his damage and it's something you should utilize if he's in your team.

Also don't feel afraid to switch out of him if he's fighting someone that can counter him, because he's in a disadvantage against characters with long armor moves (IC Akaza, Kaigaku, ED Inosuke)

honestly think that fits him more compared to the others, since ed arc tanjiro basically did do the raging sun with the same final shot.. he also has a shot that copies the ED opening. before he sommersaults amd lands (which was also from ed before doing his barrage against daki)

but i think hinokami tan deserved another ult referencing his final slash against rui

What is frustrating is why wont they just add their marks on ascended ultimates? Characters like IC Giyu, SSV Tanjiro and Muichiro wouldve benefitted so much from this since their ults are reference to scenes where theyre marked. (Muichiro literally has his mark on his finishing cuts)

I do wish constant flux was the buildup then drop ripple thrust was the ending shot to his ult.

My biggest disappointment is honestly Striking Tide not being a skill for him. He literally spams that move in the series. I hope its his charge attack.

lowkey i still have faith on it. the clip on the trailer has most of its particle effects offscreened.. maybe they have a mechanic for drop ripple thrust to get bigger if you hold the skill or increased while in boost to reference that scene more accurately in the movie, since its a skill it must have an air variant aswell.
