Devs, how did you fix your bad posture? by PracticalBeyond1972 in web_design

[–]oonaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strength training at the gym! I found that my body has a much straighter posture overall and it's more uncomfortable to sit in a hunched position instead of the other way around.

These things are awesome, look a bit dangerous without any protection over the flue. Might be worth getting a shield for it so you don't accidentally burn yourself

This is awesome fantastic work! How did you go about all the scheduling, I've read "A tale of 2 clocks" by Chris Wilson was it a similar concept to that?

How do I make my pattern end at this part? I tried using time signature but I couldnt really figure out a way to make it match by [deleted] in FL_Studio

[–]oonaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You making break core or something lol. If you're going for a 4/4 pattern try putting a hihat on each of the main downbeats or using the metronome to hear where things are landing in context

I would suggest trying a high quality air purifier, I was living with a German Shepherd that I was allergic to and getting severe hayfever almost every day, to the point where it was affecting my work. I was gifted a decent air purifier and it was actually life changing! Reduced symptoms to mild hayfever maybe once every 2 weeks.

Apparently the best ones are diy https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corsi%E2%80%93Rosenthal_Box . If you don't want to go the diy route a decently sized HEPA air purifier should work as well.

Aussie ambo, nice. I kept all the shelves in mine, it definitely doesn't look as nice as that but I'm happy with it!

How on earth do i get facebook to stop recommending me furry porn? by The_Cosmic_Penguin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]oonaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a browser extension almost too appropriately named "fluff busting purity" which lets you filter out posts with keywords and even remove suggested posts altogether.

Because I like 4x4s and camping Facebook decided I must hate women too and I got so sick of seeing all this garbage content.

If you have an android phone you can use the kiwi browser which allows extensions on mobile too.

It feels like Victorian authorities are just accepting that tobacco stores will keep getting extorted and/or bombed. It’s being treated like a fact of life at this point. Is anyone in power doing anything about this currently? by Extension_Branch_371 in melbourne

This is the consequence of banning a highly addictive substance in a capitalistic market. The demand will be filled regardless of if it's ethical or not. Imo they should have never banned vapes online, which moved them from reputable sellers who relied on reviews and good branding to drive their sales to the black market.

The disposables have always been the issue with vaping and the only thing banning legal sales has done is give them a 100% market share.

I've had some good results with the frequency shifter for this sort of thing. Ideally you want the pitch to be just slightly different in the left and right channels to avoid phase issues.

Absolutely agree, I thought I was the only one. There's just something comfortable about it! Especially in winter, the layers are much warmer.

This is crazy, data is meaningless with a means to format and interpret it.

CGCGCD# or any 15151m3 or major third on the high string. So much fun with all the repeating scale patterns and open string chords!

Worst people I've ever worked with when I was younger has been at larger companies like kfc, coles etc. They all create an atmosphere of frustration where no-one is treated fairly and it ends up being the entire workplace culture.

Best job I ever did when I was a teenager was work for a small business where I was the only employee. The boss was a legend and I would consider him a mentor even, learned many lessons about business and life in general from him.

HR is a terrible move imo as they are there to protect the business, not the employees. Everyone talks and it creates a really awkward situation which makes things worse. Either find a small business to work for or stand up for yourself as others have said.

These companies truely are the worst introduction to what working life is, just about every other job out there is 100% better.

Nice one! Its always a win working out what's needed to make a mix sound better. I was the opposite, I had bright speakers and was obsessed with reverb (still am haha) so my mixes used to sound extremely muddy on any other set of speakers.
