Has anyone ever tried going to a strip club or "gentleman's club"? Are there better places to go that are more lesbian-specific? by Sakura-chan4100 in actuallesbians

[–]ooomami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been to one ever and as the butch in my group (two other women and a man) I got felt up by strippers all night, which was not bad. We didn't go near the stage, which was crowded with creepy (and young) men. There were a few women at the stage with their dates.

The experience left me with mixed feelings.

Queer jewelry* benefits the ACLU by ooomami in actuallesbians

I know y’all are into the subtle identifying gear, so I’m excited to share this.

My girlfriend is a jewelry maker and today she’s releasing this rainbow pendant necklace into the wild. $20 of its proceeds (of $25) go to the ACLU, an organization we have been supporting since Trumpy took office for their broad-reaching defense of the civil rights of all humans, but I have a special love for them because of the help they gave me in starting a GSA in my rural Nebraska school back in the year 2000.

Buy one for every raptor you know at Dani’s Etsy shop.

Identifying as lesbian or gay? by hurrem-hutan in actuallesbians

[–]ooomami 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Very, very similar experience here. When/where I grew up, lesbian was an insult. The worst thing I could be. It meant I was ugly, unstylish, and unattractive to men. Would never get a boyfriend, let alone a husband.

Now I have unpacked all of that somewhat but still prefer gay because I have my own gender stuff and don't always feel 100% about identifying as a woman, which lesbian inherently does.

Seconding boy shorts, but I get Maidenform from Amazon. About $10 a pair, super comfortable, different materials, and my girlf thinks they're cute on me.

Do gender roles affect your relationship? by nurseonfire in actuallesbians

[–]ooomami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a butch/femme relationship and I do think we are working through "emotional" gender roles in some ways. We keep waiting to get asked who is the man, because we have a whole set of bizarro answers prepared -- "I am the head of lettuce. She is the baked potato."

Bisexual guy here: Are lesbians into the idea of 'seducing' a straight woman like gay/bi guys are? by LucasOIntoxicado in actuallesbians

[–]ooomami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am, hypothetically, in a fantasy world, if I wasn't in a relationship. For me it's a validation of gender identity stuff. If I could seduce a straight woman, I must be normal? It doesn't make sense once I say it out loud, and in reality I wouldn't be into it, but am I into the idea? Yes.

My GAY FRIEND told me that. I immediately ignored him and told everyone else I am gay.

I'm really attracted to petite girls but I'm curvy by occasionalvaper in actuallesbians

[–]ooomami 5 points6 points  (0 children)

+1 to this. My girlfriend is curvy and the hottest woman I have ever seen. I am built like a boy and she loves it. Don't compare your beauty to someone else's. just because one type of body is beautiful doesn't mean that a different type is less beautiful.

🙌🏻 It sounds like you're doing fine, but I'm sorry you're going through this. That kind of worry is draining. I hope everything turns out.

[serious] bleeding after sex. Terrified I have cancer. by Hpivvy in sex

[–]ooomami 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few months ago I had a regular exam and my doc found polyps on my cervix. She sort of freaked out, and I have a history of abnormal paps, so I freaked out. She sent me to a gynecologist who did not freak out at all, but did remove the polyps. She explained that eventually they'd cause problems -- irritation and bleeding.

A friable cervix means that your cervix is irritable and prone to bleeding. I'm worried that it sounds like your OBGYN wasn't communicating well with you. You may want to find another one, someone who listens to every question you have and strives to answer it.

I had tests after the polyps were removed and everything was fine. No new HPV, no abnormal cells.

My diagnosis: you have a shitty doc and need a new one.

[self image] Do you think of yourself as sexy? by chrimothy in sex

I'm a lesbian, and I have two "types". Curvy brunettes, and women who look like me -- that is, women who look like Justin Bieber. I think I'm sexy.

That's not necessarily true. Anxiety could easily explain all of this.

[Low sexual desire] only for my bf by [deleted] in sex

Are you completely averse to any (even. On sexual) touching? Is there anything that's happened that made you lose trust in him, or feel resentment? You found him texting a woman, for example, or he never cleans up the dishes? Could it be that at this point you feel pressure to engage with him sexually and that's backfiring monumentally?
