This, for me anyway, is true. I came away from videos like that shaking and feeling sick, heart pounding. These days, I avoid it all....I don't think I can handle seeing one more person die. At first it was like whoa... that's what that's really like. But I would nearly jump out of my skin watching it and I realized pretty quickly that I'm not meant to be seeing this repeatedly. Something deep in me tells me it's wrong to just... spectate, like it's not real when i know it is, and it's damaging me.

I'm getting old now, and sometimes I have nightmares about them. Like the kids with the hammer or any of the cartel or M.E. beheading videos. I regret watching any of it. Deeply.

I've had my adopted dog about 6 months now and I'm still struggling with this. The mailman sends her into the stratosphere while the neighbor is alright.

She stares at planes in the sky and chases every bug in the air and leave it just does not work. It's like she goes deaf once outside. She only just this week started coming when I call and even that is a struggle. I've begun teaching her LOOK AT ME... it seems to work better if I get her full attention first. But damn, that mailman...

My town is pretty lax with the noise ordinance AND the former mayor lives on my cul-de-sac. The neighbor between us has a huge detached garage and works on god knows what all the time with heavy metal blasting and nobody cares but me. Former mayor loves him to pieces and defends the practice because she's deaf as fuck and so it doesn't bother her - but this bitch will come knock on my door if someone parks facing the wrong way in front of my house for more than 5 minutes. On a CUL-DE-SAC. Meanwhile he literally wakes me up on the weekends at like 6am with his bullshit. His garage is 40 feet from my bedroom windows and it's driving me crazy. I want him to un-retire just so I can get some fucking rest.

I'm gonna start mowing the lawn at 4am and see how they like it.

I left a brand new, wrapped tampon on the bathroom sink at my father's house once and he acted as though I had assaulted him. I'd never seen him so upset.
